Rated 3.4 out of 5áby 5 reviewers.
Rated 5 out of 5áby Great Travel Rod I'm not sure of others experiences but I fished all week in Florida with this rod and married up with an Okum 40XS reel and killed them. I ended with 25 catches for the whole week. The fished weighed in at between 1.5 and 4.0 lbs. Works great for a four piece Rod. I would buy another and seriously considering just because I can travel on an airplane with them in my tube. August 13, 2016
Rated 5 out of 5áby Tough rod, great action, long caster Rod proved to be tough, I've caught fish that had this ultralight bent over without any problem, but the real test was letting my nine year old grandson use it. He came to me with the rod upside-down in front of him wth the tip between his legs doing a u-turn with a Treble hook in his rear. I though that before I could get the line released it would snap, but it didn't. I like the action and feels. It casts great and it can bust a snagged lure out of the river with no problem, then it can feel as supple as any when a fish nibbles. With the right weight lure it's a long and very accurate caster. This rod is one of the best ultralights I've ever owned. I bought it for backpacking into remote areas, so it's had its of abuse. No complaints. August 13, 2016
Rated 1 out of 5áby Broken by sunfish!! TWICE!! Purchased ultralight version of this St. Croix Triumph travel/pack rod for son and myself. Both broke in their tip sections while landing small fish. The rods were properly assembled with each section well seated... Shows that you don't necessarily get what you pay for.... These rods are not cheap. St. Croix never responded to an e-mail sent to them about this issue. September 29, 2015
Rated 5 out of 5áby Won't find much better than this. I bought one of these 2 years ago or so. Mine is an ultralight 5 ft 3 inches. By far the best ultralight I have ever owned or used. It is very sensitive with excellent action. I challenge anyone to pick one up and hold it straight out and not get the tip to wiggle, it is impossible. I use it mostly for crappie fishing and love the thing to death. This past summer I happened to catch a 6lb eel pout, a 7lb northern and a 3lb bass on this rod and it never showed signs of breaking, even though I was a bit nervous. If you know you have a large fish on just be smart, use your net if you can and you won't have any problems. After seeing and using mine my father bought two 5'6" ultralights for himself and my mother. Same story, they love it. September 20, 2012
Rated 1 out of 5áby I would not by this product again! I had this rod for 4 months and set the hook on a fish and it broke right in half. June 18, 2012
