This product is great First of all I have no complaints whatsoever about this reel. I would definitely recommend this to anybody that would like to go fishing with light tackle I landed a 30 inch trout about four days ago and it was amazing the drag was like butter. I am definitely going to buy another one next size up for my bigger pole November 18, 2014
Awesome reel!! I put this reel on the new 7' 2" Blair wiggins blue series rod!! I use it strictly for saltwater and it makes an awesome combo! Super smooth action with the 10 ball bearings. I like the 20lb test blue power pro line on the orange real!! Go gators!! Great reel would highly recommend to anyone. July 29, 2014
Very Lite weight overall great real Love this real Lite weight paired it up with a 9ft st croix bass mojo pole the two together are awesome feather lite very easy to handle caught several blues and some schooly bass on it handles very well only issue i have had so far is i used it 4 times caught fish every time but when using 30lb braided line it got stuck on a small piece of the bail housing and snapped my line sux loosing $20 in power pro braid i will try again another spool but if happens again this real will have to go and swap out for penn battle September 29, 2013
Okuma Trio I purchased this reel two weeks ago for a trip to the Keys. I paired it up with a medium weight Ugly Stick, and the combo handled everything the ocean threw at it. The reel had no problem with braided line, and the drag was smooth. I caught several Dolphin "Peanuts", Jacks and Snapper with no issues. June 18, 2013
Trio 30s Great Reel I was looking for nice light weight reel I could use all day , and under 100.00$ I got that and more. Extremely smooth retrieve and the drag is equally as smooth and powerfull. The true test was 25" yellow tail jack with several 50 to 75 yard runs I figured the the drag system would give up, never faded and that was only the first of 5 more the same day.this my new favoriteThe best bang for you buck out there!!! first one Just getting in to fishing and this is my first one and I love it. Smooth with a good feel. March 26, 2013
Very good reel Just got this baby out in the water and handled very good! Very good reel performed well on reds and snooks. Got a 40 and works great with my redbone rod. Just some FYI need to oil the reel first before your first outing. Can't wait to get the new bait caster version for this reel. March 11, 2013
smooth used 1 time since purchase, work fine, cast fine, not line twist no loops, mounted on a all star rod, heavy wire bell, no issues yet, . January 16, 2013
GEARS BROKE ON SECOND USE! I am normally a Shimano man! However this one time I said lets give it a shot with an okuma, "same price as the shimano exage spining reel" the only difference here is that Okuma have 9 BB and Shimano, 4 BB....surely Okuma is better!!!...The okuma gears shot on my second time using it and never caught a fish. I was casting a 5.3 ounce lure out! To be nice here, Okuma Trio is rubbish! Like I said....being nice! December 19, 2012
This is a good reel. The reel seems pretty tough, I use braided line so it's bail system will sometimes catch the line but for the most part works fine. The drag system is a little hard to get use to but I just hand test it I don't use the pro method. I have two of these reels now and use them 2 or 3 times a week. October 17, 2012
