Best of both worlds
I used to fish high vis gold line with a clear flouro leader tied on- this had three drawbacks- a weak link, a knot that could hit the tip guide and interfere with pitching caauracy and then the stretch of mono main line. Trans-optic removes all these and makes my fishing much more efficient.

I would buy this product again.
Love,Love,this line. My buddy and I have been using the trilene xl for years while fishing for bass. We've tried many different kinds of lines but always came back to old faithful. Then Berkley came out with the gold we natually tried it--and the rest is history. We fell in love with it;its color and how it can be seen above the water but not in the water; it's tangles and curles up less then the others;(half our reels are spinning)and we do a lot of top water fishing); and best of all it catches more fish than anyother line we've used. We rig our spinning reels with 8-10lbs and our bait casters 10-14lbs. Weather we're fishing top water, cranks, botton, or spinners, the gold is the line we love. Thanks Berkley. Bill and Jack. PS.we heard that you were discontinuing the gold line, is this true or is it false rumors? I would love to hear from you one way or another.

My Favorite Line
I have used various lines and many brands. I find Trilene Transoptic to be strong, supple, easy to tie knots but won't knot on it's own and has low memory.

Very nice line
I have this line on two bait caster's, and two spinning rod's. I really like this line, and hope they keep it in production. Almost invisible under water but very visible out of the water for finesse fishing. This is a nice versatile fishing line.

THIS IS THE BEST LINE I HAVE EVER USED, I HAVE CAUGHT MORE FISH THAN EVER WITH THIS LINE. I HAVE FISHED FOR OVER 40 YEARS. AND THIS IS THE TOP OF THE LIST. YOU WILL LOVE IT. FISH CANT SEE IT IN THE WATER. VERY COOL LOOKING TOO ON YOUR REEL. ALL 12 RODS I HAVE HAS IT ON THEM.

Awesome line as good as $20 line!
I use 6lb for jigging, casting rivers, lakes etc. Holds up extremely well to abrasion and have caught a few pike on it that choked the lure but the 6lb held up fine! Use the 10lb for trolling planer boards and again holds up nicely! for [$] you cant beat this line!
