Rated 4 out of 5 by This 4 piece takedown pole is better than most of my two piece rods. high quality 4 piece takedown for the price. Comes with a stout case that is great for backpacking and taking on the airplane for travel. October 8, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by Impressed with delivery I had a eagle claw pack rod as a kid and used it alot! I like the portability and the action for a break down rod. I used it for about 3 decades. I bought this one for my son to keep in his vehicle since he travels a lot with his job and can use the rod when he happens upon an interesting fishing spot. I was very impressed by the speed at which I received the fishing rod. I ordered it on a Saturday morning and it was delivered Tuesday afternoon! Great service! December 29, 2012
Rated 5 out of 5 by Ordered a second one Great bang for the buck - just ordered a second one for my son. Proven to catch bass, trout, etc. - no problems - good quality - great compact package - case is cool - nice detail. November 26, 2012
Rated 4 out of 5 by Easy to use and durable Easy to assemble and use. Excellent length. October 16, 2012
Rated 5 out of 5 by Great rod for a trip in the wild Took this rod to Quetico and it preformed flawlessly. Everyday I had to break it down and put it back together for six days. Never had a problem with the pieces coming apart while casting or manipulating the rod in the canoe which is often tricky. July 25, 2012
Rated 1 out of 5 by Snapped like a twig I've never written a review before, but felt compelled due to the products performance. The last 4 inches of the rod snapped like a twig on its first week of use when I was landing a moderate sized, appropriately named, snapper. The line held, so I was able to land the fish. I'd like to convince myself it was a two pounder, though would expect a medium weight rod to handle that weight fish. It was likely closer to one pound, than two, however, so after releasing the fish, I threw the remnants in the nearest trash can. It seemed like a promising rod to start, so I was sad to see it come to such a quick end. July 28, 2013
Rated 1 out of 5 by must have been a defect Very first fish I caught was a jack crevalle. Maybe 3 pounds. Rod literally shattered in the middle of one of the sections. I returned it and got another one so we will see what happens. October 23, 2014
Rated 3 out of 5 by Eagle cake rod I think the product overall is probably a good rod . Unfortunately the one I received had a missing and broken off top. September 16, 2014
Rated 4 out of 5 by nice little rig Worked very well on a motorcycle trip to the Owens river. Packs in very little space with nice padded case. Would have given it 5 stars if the case had room for a reel too. September 3, 2014
Rated 4 out of 5 by travel fishing rod nice rod for the price, but its a combo fly-spin which wasn't what I was looking for. Comes with a real nice case. July 3, 2014
