Rated 5 out of 5 by boyscouts507 Great canoe Boy Scouts loved this canoe. They have taken it out twice. Plenty of room for 3 people for a canoe trip down the river, room for 2 people fishing with gear. July 24, 2014

Rated 5 out of 5 by Captain Jack Newly purchased and loving it Recently purchased a new 14' Scanoe at Dick's, had to drive an hour to find one in stock as they were all sold out in closer locations (tells you something right there) I strapped it to my car roof and drove an hour home at 55 mph and it stayed attached to vehicle without a problem. We've used it twice so far in the first week and it is light enough for my wife and I to carry easily. We paddled upstream for 5-6 miles on each trip and flowed with the current back to our vehicle. It is very manueverable (if you know a bit about canoing, which I do) on the two rivers we paddled on. We used two single oar paddles and had no problems putting it where ever we wished to go. Roomy enough for some snacks and drinks in a rucksack, attached a line to the bow for anchoring or mooring when stopped and even brought our small dog along since it was so well balanced. With a few small extras, life preserver seat pads, paddles and a stretchy net to secure our rucksack cost was around $400 for everything. I would definitely recommend this item and look forward to many many hours of pleasure aboard. July 6, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by blrgz Great Value & Quality Have been out on this Scanoe several times now and am very pleased. Great square stern for the money and very durable. Just throw your gear in the canoe and pull it down to the lake. I bought a canoe cart as well but find I don't use it that often as I just drag the canoe easy enough. I am 6' and 220lbs. The kids have also pulled it down on their own. Hull in great shape and shows light surface scratches only. On the water it is stable for a canoe and best in calm water like most canoes.. I have been out with my 2 older teenagers, on my own, the kids on their own and loaded up with lots of gear and with nothing but life jackets and a paddle - it has performed well all the time. I have not had any rivet issues and have had lots of weight in the boat while portaging it. I am not worried about the rivets if they do go. It is a very easy & cheap fix, there really is very little if anything that can go wrong with this canoe. Should last for many years of fun. Also, I use a 30 lb thrust trolling motor with a 35 amp 12v agm cell (wheelchair battery) and even fully loaded (3 large people, cooler, rods, radio, life jackets, motor, battery, bait, oars (just in case), etc etc.) it moves us along great and have been out all day without running the battery down. I don't run it on max very often though and do a lot of coasting. Recommended. July 5, 2014
Rated 2 out of 5 by maeistero can't haul on top of truck the black plastic held on by four rivets just rips off, no real way to secure it. June 7, 2014
Rated 4 out of 5 by ace good boat This is a good boat. I bought and tested in today works great. The only thing I have against it is the length. I'm 6'3" so its a little "little" cramped. But I am 6'3" I prolly should have got a 15' canoe. Haven't tried the motor mount yet but it definatly feels very sturdy and solid. Overall for the price there is no way you could do better without spending atleast 200 more. May 23, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Happy Momma River water here I come! The Coleman Scanoe Canoe is a perfect 40th birthday present for our son. Excellent made and we know he will love it. April 19, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by R Richards No Problems Here No rivet problems. Have had two seasons with it so far and love it. Have a 40 lb motor on it and it's great fun. Light weight enough to drag around by myself and I've gotten two adults, two small kids in. Fun. Get one. If there's some kind off rivet issue, well, just return it for another one. February 2, 2014
Rated 4 out of 5 by Aude Get what yoiu pay for. Bought this canoe even after reading the online reviews and saw that the rivets tend to come out. First time to the river and the rivets came out of the front of the canoe. I choose to drill out the rivets and insert stainless steel bolts and locking nuts. Works fine. I would still buy this canoe again. Dollar to value its still a good buy. Yes you may need to modify it but you get what you pay for most of the time. September 27, 2013
