This basketball hoop is a keeper
I purchased this hoop about 1-1/2 years ago and it still looks and performs like new. My family shoots hoops with it whenever the weather is nice and I have never had any problems with it. The best feature is its stability, durability, and true rebound. We live in farm country with no wind block and this basketball hoop has shown no damage or wear to include rust. We regularly get wind gusts of 40mph and sustained winds at 20-25mph and this hoop does not move or break. It is VERY heavy and the backboard's size and weight presents a challenge to install. I built a scaffold of 2x4s and a 1,500lb come-along (hand wench) so I was able to put it up by myself. Recommend you buy the deluxe pole pad with the flared bottom b/c the bolts on the base plate are exposed and pose a risk of injury to players and will damage an errant ball. I considered buying a more expensive hoop but I am definitely satisfied with this one. Only limitation is the < 3' overhang from backboard to pole. Some more expensive models have up to a 4' overhang but the approx $1,000 cost increase would not be worth it.
