Rated 3.8 out of 5 by 11 reviewers.
Rated 1 out of 5 by Terrible!!! Snapped Twice We purchased this about a month ago, and the first time the tip snapped pretty easily. We thought okay we'll exchange it because the store has a pretty easy return policy. 2 weeks later, same thing. The rod tip snapped again. They are very flimsy fragile rods. Purchasing a new rod from Bass Pro instead. August 13, 2014
Rated 4 out of 5 by Not enough discription. Wonderful rod for a beginner. Description did not mention reel was already with backing, fly line and leader. I had to buy them. Did not give info about the fly line. July 20, 2014
Rated 4 out of 5 by Love at first cast! I purchased my Quarrow fly combo kit two years ago, along with another brand that broke while stringing it up! My Quarrow is very light and well balanced, I like the way it packs very small and the hard case protects the rod. May 23, 2014
Rated 4 out of 5 by 4 I like this product so far. Although I have not actually fished with it yet. It has given me opportunity to get a feel for the sport of fly fishing. The price is right and I actually bought it on sale. Standard equipment can cost in the thousands of dollars May 20, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Great rod This rod was great the first day i pulled it out of the box i caught a ton of fat bluegill and then a 2 pound bass May 20, 2014
Rated 4 out of 5 by Nice Kit for the Price Perfect kit to get me started. Can't wait to hook my first trout! April 5, 2014
Rated 4 out of 5 by Great the second time around! As the title says had to return the first one because it was DOA. A tip on one of the pieces was broken off. Contacted Dicks and they overnighted me a new one and I just put the old one in the box and send it back. The rod and reel are nice for the price. I wanted a fly rod that would break down and I could travel with. For a decent rod and reel and case to do some fly fishing with when you don't want to spend double or triple the amount it's a good buy. January 13, 2014
Rated 4 out of 5 by all around product for beginners With little knowledge of the fly fishing equipment available this kit seems to be great for the beginner. The salesman was very helpful in choosing equipment that was necessary for a beginning fly fisherman. Hope the are biting. May 7, 2013
Rated 4 out of 5 by Great for a Beginner or to pack This is a great rod for a beginner. It is sturdy and packable for use by an intermediate level angler. I have used this rod for a year in small streams and raging Maine rivers. Most importantly, I have caught salmon, trout, bass, and assorted sun fish with this rod. It is great for dry flies. Use a strike indicator for nymphs and streamers, as it is difficult to feel a strike that can't bee seen. Fly fishing with this rod in shallow trout streams was far better than spin casting. Get one casting lesson, read a little, and you could use a fly rod. February 17, 2013
Rated 4 out of 5 by Nice outfit, great rod action I am a beginner at fly fishing and had bought another beginners setup package from another sporting goods store, and was struggling with casting. I bought this package and although the rod was rated the same weight , the more balanced setup and rod action has me casting much better. I would recommend this outfit to any beginner or intermediate fly fisherman. May 16, 2012
