Rated 4.3 out of 5 by 40 reviewers.
Rated 3 out of 5 by A little stiff for my taste, but works great as leader material. My normal go to fluoro line is Berkley Vanish or Berkley Trilene 100% fluorocarbon. Only couple of my freshwater spinning reels are completely spooled with fluoro line, otherwise I normally use fluorocarbon line as leader. My reel was due for new line anyways so I stripped all the old line, then put Stren fluorocast line on. I'd have to say, it is slightly on the stiff side by the way the line would coil off the reel like a spring when I opened the bail. Now, when used as a leader, I have nothing negative to say at all. It is just as strong as any other fluorocarbon line I've used. Tied palomar and clinch knots with ease, and strong knots at that. For spinning reels, I think I will stick with slightly more supple fluorocarbon line or mono line. April 11, 2014
Rated 4 out of 5 by Get the highest test Because the line does stretch its just not noticeable because it doesnt return back like elastic mono. That being said this line is good for crankbaits spinners and jigs because it sinks much better than mono. Get the highest test available though becaue the line will weaken, but diameter doesnt matter (its invisible in water) February 18, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Much better than mono If you are willing to pay the few extra bucks, this is the stuff. It's thinner, clearer, more flexible, and stronger than its lb test equivalent in mono. It is also less stretchy like braid, so you get better knots, easier to get baits unhung, and better hook sets; while maintaining that stretchy advantage over braid that keeps your line from snapping. It also casts like glass. January 29, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Excellent Line This line works well in saltwater with line finicky fish. Works great in clear water conditions! Highly recommend for all applications. November 19, 2013
Rated 2 out of 5 by Not strong enough This 17 lb line is weaker than cheap 10 lb mono line. Wasted money. November 13, 2013

Rated 5 out of 5 by Great light tackle product Wonderful value and excellent quality. 5 stars. Great light tackle line that transmits every hit, yet strong enough to hold a fighting catfish weighting more than the test weight. May 27, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by Stren Excellent fishing line. Would recommend to anyone. Knot strength, abrasion resistance and no line stretch all superior. May 21, 2013
