Rated 5 out of 5 by Great cooler, great price! I purchased 4 of these coolers to keep beverages ice cold for my son's graduation party. We set up a drink station that was in a shaded area, so that the sun was not beating down on the coolers. Even with people going in and out of them all day long, with an ambient air temperature of about 85 degrees Fahrenheit, the coolers did what they were supposed to and kept the pop/soda and adult beverages cold. Sure the ice melted some, that just made the cooling more effective for the beverages. On the second day AFTER the party, there was still some un-melted ice in the coolers. The construction is sound and for the money, I could not be happier! My only 'complaint' is that the lid is a little difficult to open when the cooler is empty. This is due to the close tight fit of the lid with the cooler body. I did not expect these kind of tight tolerances in manufacturing on essentially a twenty dollar cooler. July 22, 2016
Rated 5 out of 5 by Lightweight and functional I bought this cooler for my dad. He specifically requested a Coleman. He is a fisherman and likes to keep his filleted catch in ziplock bags on ice until he gets home. He loved the size and the way it closed. July 20, 2016
Rated 5 out of 5 by Coleman 48 Quart Chest Cooler Great product. Have owned Coleman bran for many years. July 20, 2016
Rated 1 out of 5 by Cheap quality We purchased it after reading the reviews...but after getting it, we were not impressed with it at all. The hinges for the lid was made of plastic and it was very thin, meaning it will break easily. Also it didn't close tightly as I had expected. So we ended up returning it. July 17, 2016
Rated 5 out of 5 by Coleman Cooler What can you say? It's a plastic foam filled insulated box. While it is at the low end of cooler offerings it is great for the occasional use picnic crowd. Just load it up with ice and go. Expect to replace it in a few years with heavy use but at this price point it's a good value. July 17, 2016

Rated 4 out of 5 by Good cooler at a great price. Saw this cooler on sale and couldn't pass it up. Plus got free shipping. July 15, 2016
Rated 4 out of 5 by I like red This was a good bargain at the sale price. I wasn't looking for large capacity, nor something that I expected to last forever, although the cooler that it was replacing had lasted a very long time. July 14, 2016
Rated 5 out of 5 by Keeping it Cool I recently used this after purchasing one from Dick's. one of the reasons I purchased one is that I already had an identical one in a different color. It was used for a camping trip. One had all of the water and drinks in which we put in warm from the store. The other had all of the food items packed in it which we had pre-frozen. (bacon, sausage, burgers etc) After the first day of camping much of the ice had melted in the drink cooler. The food cooler ice was still going strong as it had started off with cold food. After adding extra ice tot he drink cooler both coolers kept some ice and remained cold into the fourth day. This is with average temperatures of 80+ during the day and 65ish at night. I doubt they would stand the abuse of a metal cooler but they did act as chairs for some of my fellow campers during the trip. Overall I was very happy with the cooler, especially since I got it on sale for $20.. booyah!! July 14, 2016
