Way to expensive for what it is. I think it should come with the backboard when purchased. The aluminum corners are very sharp so this is needed. unfortunatley I was a little late buying it my son's friend had to get stiches in his forehead after bumping into the backboard when they had it lowered.

Installation was not quite as easy as I expected from the description but not bad. I would advise against pre-drilling the holes as instructed and just go with the provided self-tapping screws directly. It requires a little more "elbow grease" with no pre-drilled holes but you end up with a much better allignment of the pads. Once on, it looks great and is effective.

after spending $1500 on a goalrilla system, you would think that you could buy a backboard pad that fits and doesn't need creativity to mount. Good luck.

This pad is of high quality thick rubber and will protect from injuries (which is it's purpose). However, when it is installed, it does not sit squarely on the frame of the backboard. It warps and pulls away from the edges. This is a design issue - where the screw holes are and the lack of extra space in the rubber to sufficiently wrap around the frame while attached. [...]
