So far so good I bought this combo mainly for trout fishing or any light tackle or bait fishing. I normally use baitcasters and getting distance can be a problem with light bait/lures on. Anyway I've used this and caught some trout and small catfish so far. I don't know how it will hold up against large fish, but I aim to find out in the upcoming months. So far it's worked fine and casts well. May 10, 2012
Great This is a great pole. I've had it for about 5 years and it is still as good as new. I catch everything from small bluegill to large bass and catfish. You should get it. August 27, 2011
Way too hard to put together i bought this pole to fish local koi ponds in my neighberhood never got to even use it the smell on this pole was so bad i to return it dont recomend it unless you have a strong stomach or good set of gloves to protect the smell from getting on your hands , i also found it way to hard to assemble[...] July 3, 2011
