Rated 5 out of 5áby fire1717 Excellent Product for the Price!! I was a bit wary when I initially made the purchase because of the price. I thought, how could anything worth $30 possibly get such high reviews? But then again, for $30, it was worth the risk. I am happy to report back that this product is worth every penny and more. Easy to install with the instructions and does an excellent job of holding my kayak. May 20, 2016
Rated 5 out of 5áby Hoppy Fantastic product Easy to install and works as advertised. I was going to go to the hardware store make up a system myself. Why bother, for $30 this did what I wanted better than I could have jerry-rigged something. February 26, 2016

Rated 4 out of 5áby Geek60 Good Value I was surprised with the quality of this hoist for the cost. Very good quality harware. The lifting rope is not the greatest, but it gets the job done. Installation instructions were clear and easy to follow. I bought this product based on earlier reviews of it being a good value and I found that to be very true. I used this one for my kayak. I'll get another for my bike. January 24, 2016
Rated 4 out of 5áby Daniel559 Easy to install I installed this in about 45 minutes.I just wish my garage was about 2 feet taller. If your garage ceiling or beams are not 10 feet from the floor, you might want to make sure you have clearance from cars. January 23, 2016
Rated 2 out of 5áby Texaspicker Not recommended for a kayak I wrote a prior review, before I installed this system and put it to use. While it looked like it was going to be great, I found that lifting a 64 lb kayak with it was impossible! I do bench butterflies with 65 lb dumbbells, and I can pick up my kayak directly, but I cannot exert enough force to lift my kayak off the ground with this pulley system. The only way I could lift the kayak was to keep tension on the rope and lift each end at a time from underneath, until it was in the overhead position. Otherwise, it requires 2 people to operate. I don't know why there is not enough leverage to lift such a modest amount of weight, but it simply does not work. I would not recommend it for a kayak, unless you have someone to assist with the lift. January 16, 2016
Rated 5 out of 5áby Johnboy This product works perfectly! This product was easy to install and took only minutes. If you use the provided straps the kayak hangs about 4 feet from the ceiling which is not good when you only have 9 foot ceilings such as mine. But I used the hooks instead of the provided straps and it allowed me to raise the kayak another 2 feet and now they are completely out of the way. My wife is happy to finally have her garage back. You can imagine how much room 2- 10 foot kayaks can take up. Thanks Dick's! January 12, 2016
Rated 4 out of 5áby Woodguy Great product when installed right and yes it hangs down Great product when installed right and yes it hangs down a few feet from the ceiling, read the box or buy a more expensive one. For the $30 this thing cost it is great, boy it took me a few re-does on the rope rigging before I got I right but once you get how it works installing more of them is a cinch, I have installed three and looking for another one for myself. You have to give it a good tug on the rope to get the kayak to release once its suspended but it's really not that bad. the only way this device works the way it should is if the rigging is right and in the few tries it took me, once you have it right you'll know.
