Rated 3 out of 5 by Lizzyb_82 Impressed at first When I first received the tent I immediately set it up so I could seam seal and scotch guard it. I am a very experienced camper and I was able to assemble the tent and rain fly by myself in about 20 minutes. I was initially impressed by the amount of space inside the tent. I am 5'11" and was able to stand straight up inside almost all areas of the tent because the dome is 6'. My husband and I took it out for an overnight camping trip and were able to set it up very quickly. The packaging says it will hold two queen sized air beds. While that may be true the beds would be side-by-side with no room to move around or keep gear. We had one queen bed in there and I had to put it in long-ways to be able to keep the bed from touching the sides (to avoid condensation) and I could barely move around in the tent at all. The strap with the loop to secure a stake through also ripped off after gently pulling the bottom out to stretch out the footprint of the tent to its full capacity. This tent would be better for ground pads and sleeping bags. I would only recommend two adults max with gear for any extended stay. And I will be trying to get a refund for the broken strap. Rated 3 out of 5 by Bradrd84 Not happy with first set up Me and my girlfriend planed a weekend camping trip at a state park and wanted a really good tent . We researched for weeks and decided this had the best reviews. I temporarily set it up to make sure everything was there but didn't stake it in the ground. The tent looked good and we was excited to camp. Soon as we started to set it up all the way the first time I noticed one of the rings on the four corners was tore a little from the base of the floor. I went ahead and continued to set it up and soon as I connected the pole to the metal pin connected to the ring it completely broke off and went flying. Luckily I had the trusty duct tape to make it last for the weekend.. We put a suitcase in that corner to help hold it down. We had great weather so didn't get to see how it held up in the rain. Other than that it seemed like a ok tent. The vents on the side seem kinda pointless Since there connect to the same guide line for the side of the rainfly..hopefully the return process goes smooth.. Rated 3 out of 5 by JD1969 Average at best, Poor ventilation I have been camping Coleman products for years. We've had a Weather Master 17X9 that has performed outstandingly for close to 15 years with no issues. The River Gorge was purchased to accommodate our kids. During our first week long trip, the boys complained of it being hot. Boys will be boys, but during the past weekend trip, I got to use it with the boys and was truly disappointed. First, after setting the tent up to clean from our week long trip, the thin pole for the awning broke. Dick's was accommodating and I had purchased the warranty. The only issue there was that it took (4) different people at the store, before someone finally told me to just go pick out a new one or they would give me a gift card for the amount of purchase. Maybe I should have got the gift card. The next issue was the rainfly design. The rainfly comes almost to the bottom of the tent and allows very little circulation and none at the upper level, where your dead air gathers. I purchased a Coleman battery operated magnet mounted fan to take care of this, due to the boys initial complaint, but it was ineffective because of how far down we needed to get the air, so that it could escape through the low vents. Next was the issue of seepage through the lower seems and zipper. A problem quickly remedied by seam sealer, but still, it's brand new out of the box. We did experience 3" of rain in one day and only had minor seepage. So maybe that complaint is a bit unjustified. The other issue was even at being 11X9, due to the angle of the sides and my desire to sleep on an air mattress, we could only fit a queen and twin mattress, leaving very little room for our clothes. I still enjoy Coleman products, but believe I will search out another tent for the boys. August 13, 2014
Rated 4 out of 5 by gins71 Perfect size for 4, nice quality We haven't used the tent yet, but we did set it up and the quality seems good. The tent is easy to assemble with just two adults and my husband can stand up in the middle of it without crouching, and he is 6'3". Without the rain cover, the top is mostly mesh, which is nice to enjoy a nice night. Also, it fit back into the carrying bag, which is great, because sometimes that's a real challenge. Overall we are happy with it. I would have given it 5 stars if we had used it for a while and seen the lasting qualities. August 13, 2014
Rated 4 out of 5 by Nashvillejohn Great value but requires careful use Room enough for a queen size air mattress and space to get around it. Very easy to assemble and breakdown. Stores in a very small package. Doorway zipper did bind at the halfway point seam and I could tell it required one hand to remove tension and one to pull the zipper or it would fail. For the great price I paid I don't mind being Gentle to extend its life. August 12, 2014
Rated 4 out of 5 by Zeek Coleman River Gorge 6 Person Dome Tent I have had zero problems with this tent. When I first assembled it, I rubbed parafin wax on the seams, and coated with a water proof product. I always place a rainfly over the tent as well. No leaks, drips, walls stayed dry. Next tent will be a two door. August 12, 2014
Rated 4 out of 5 by J I would have rated it 5 stars but one of the stake tabs pulled off on its first use. Tent is roomy and watertight! I will definitely exchange it for the exact same model. August 10, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Soccer23 Great buy For the first time owning a tent this one is the one to have. I was able to put it up myself in about 20 minutes. It sleeps four comfortably and kept us dry as it rained on us the first time we used it. Looking forward to more camping trips with this tent. Thanks, Minneapolis, MN August 10, 2014
Rated 4 out of 5 by lickty Great Tent! Just came back from a Maine camping trip and used this tent for the first time. The setup was easy right out of the box. Took about 20 minutes to set up not the 10 advertised, but hey we were rookies. There was plenty of room inside for the 2 of us with camp cots and gear. August 10, 2014
Rated 1 out of 5 by unhappy camper Poorly Made The tabs that hold the tent to the ground ripped completely off the first time I used it and the pole for the rainfly broke in half in the middle of the night with no wind. The rainfly offers very little ventilation and the whole tent seems to be very cheaply made. Unless you plan on carrying a spare tent with you don't rely on this tent as your shelter. I will be returning this and will never buy a Coleman tent again. August 8, 2014
