Customer Reviews

Rated 3.2 out of 5 by 13 reviewers.
Rated 2 out of 5 by Even cheaper than I expected The best I can say for it is that it's only partially broken in it's first hour of use. I wasn't expecting much from this and its still disappointing. When I pulled the line out of the reel it was already snapped so I had to open up the reel and fish out the line. I liked that it had a fish weight included for practice/backyard casting which is really all I bought it for. With her first cast the line ripped through the nose. (I bought the Spiderman version for my son. Unfortunately, when I tightened the knot for the first time the line sliced right through the nose of the fish. Then the reel broke.) Taking both back to store and never buying this brand again. July 16, 2014
Rated 1 out of 5 by Broke out of the package. I purchased this idem and it was broke out of the package. The line would not pull out and the trigger gears seemed not to be lined up. Did not get to use this product. April 29, 2014

Rated 4 out of 5 by good rod This is my 4 year old's daughters first rod! It casted great first day we caught 4 fish! It was a great experance with q great rod! Had no issues reeling it in. May 7, 2013
Rated 3 out of 5 by broke easily The reel broke after two casts by my granddaughter. My son and I tried to fix it for my sad granddaughter, but to no avail. My son took the rod back to a Dick's store in Albany, NY and they replaced it without question. You satisified a disgruntled client. January 8, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by the kids had a ball and even caught fish it is a barbie pole - they loved it. one granddaughter just liked casting so we did not even add a hook. She just cast and cast with the small fish that was attached. October 16, 2012
Rated 1 out of 5 by All looks, no function. Right out of the box the drag on this pole does not work. My daughter was using the training plug that the pole comes with and she couldn't reel it in because of the drag. I tried adjusting it and no matter how much you mess with it it doesn't work. Rated 4 out of 5 by just right for a little one. I like this because it is easy for a young child to use, it also is great for girls who like the design. They are more likely to enjoy fishing at the beginning if they like their equipment. July 16, 2012
