Son's first pole
This is a great first fishing pole. My son is 2 1/2 and after about a week has learned to cast and reel in the line. He loves it!! We took a trip to a local lake and he caught the smallest fish but every time he (we) tell someone about it the fish gets bigger, like father like son. Great pole, no problems, just good times.

cute but not good
Spindle keeps jamming with a few casts. Have to take it appart each time to fix it. Cute and kids love it but doesn't work. Bought two and both do the same thing.

Grandson loved it
Gave this to my grandson for his 3rd birthday. He went to a lake on vacation and fished non-stop. My daughter said he caught lots of fish and just had a blast so it must have operated just like it was supposed to!!

Junk
I bought this for my son to learn how to cast. The button on the reel was broken on the first cast. The spool wouldn't engage so I took it apart and found out how poorly it was made. Every part in it was junk. I know it's only [$], but thats [$]to put towards a better rod and reel. This thing is junk.

Don't waste your time
The reel on this rod is terrible! It broke on the second time I took my son fishing! I returned it and bought a second, and the reel was broken out of the package! I finally spent a little more and bought an Ugly Stik Junior which is better.

Don't waste your money
Got two casts out of it. The first barely reeled properly and on the second - the reel locked up. Very poor construction and not worth a dime. Would've given zero stars if I could've.
