Customer Reviews:

Rated 4.7 out of 5 by 7 reviewers.
Rated 5 out of 5 by Professional Quality Reel. I hate to go off on a tangent here but some really go overboard on spending money on a reel or with excessive criticism. There are countless hours of research done to create a fishing reel. Input from pros like KVD, Gerald Swindle, Shaw Grigsby and Greg Hackney to name a few on the Quantum Pro Staff. This is a reel used by those same pros and for good reason. If multi million dollar pro circuit professionals can use this reel how is it possible that this could be a bad choice in reel? In what way could anyone else be more demanding on a fishing reel? This thing is Bad To The Bone! Super Light and "I" can cast mine much farther than needed for fishing. September 14, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by great reel fantastic reel. incrediby Smooth. great Casting Abilities. July 16, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by Great buy for the money This reel is everything you will be looking for. Smooth casting. Light weight. Good brake system March 16, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by Best Bang for Your Buck !! I absolutely love this reel I have countless bait caster's, wich all get much use, but after I got my my "SMOKE-SHOW" I use it more than any other reel, especially matched up with my 7ft' St. Croix Bass-Mojo flippin stick, Very light weight smooth, affordable, cast's a mile, light-weight, etc, etc, 5 stars across the board! first night gave it a test run and christened it with 5 Bass' in a half hr period on a rubber creature, and it handled like a Caddilac, "It is a must have if you are as an avid Angler as myself",, Pete Lawford.. thanxx August 14, 2012
Rated 5 out of 5 by My favorite reel for tournament fishing! I can throw this all day. It's light and its smooth. I usually use this reel for shallow cranking on a 6'6 rod that is super light. It is my favorite combo to use for tournament fishing and always makes the cut when selecting which rod and reel combo to take with me on the boat as a co-angler. I usually only take 5. Hope this helps. It's worth the money. April 23, 2012
Rated 4 out of 5 by Great reel! Not just for beginners... I wish I had never started learning baitcasters on cheap outfits. Had I only spent the money on a more precise one, I would have been better off. I have only used my Smoke a few dozen times, but I have had no problems with it's brakes or handling. Already hauled in a solid 5# bass... It is ultra-quiet, good drag, and paired with a good rod it is light as a feather. This was a great purchase. Only backlash I've had is due to myself forgetting to adjust... Don't buy your kids a $40 baitcaster to learn on. Invest in something good right off the bat, and enjoy it for years to come.
