Harbinger Bar Pad
Definitely needed when I'm doing a lot of weight while doing squats . Helps prevent upper back pain and other weight lifting injuries . An investment for anyone who is doing serious weight lifting !!!!

This is a great item for home gym rats
The product is most useful for protecting your upper back/trap area during squats so you don't get the bar knurling digging into your skin.

Very High Quality
The Harbinger Barbell Pad is a very high quality piece--something that is rare these days. It has a soft swade feel and clamps tightly around an Olympic sized diameter bar. I am glad I went with this slightly more expensive pad. It's worth it.

Good product, easy on the shoulders!
I finally broke down and bought a pad after the bar became uncomfortable during squats, and I'm glad that I did. While I was making do with wrapping a towel around the bar, the pad is far more effective and easier to use. If you're going heavy on squats, consider this product to be money well spent. The only downside is that it doesn't wrap completely around the bar, at least on the one I have at my gym (which is a Smith machine, no free weight squats there). It doesn't really matter because it still sits on there securely. Just a minor issue.

Does the job
Product is good. The pad works well and it stays on the bar. The velcro doesn't clasp well but the shape of the pad holds it on the bar.
