Awesone fun for the kids I bought this for my boys 11 & 12 and they used it all summer. We are boaters and use it on the river and in the bay. I am buying another one for my nephew for Christmas. December 4, 2012
Perfect for kids We bought this kayak and a small ride in kayak on the same day. I have three boys 6, 9, and 12. This one was going to be more for my 6 year old but, they all three took turns between the two kayaks and had a great time. It's easy to turn and very stable. Great for the little kids! We purchased two of these for our granddaughters, age 5 and 6, they did terrific with a short lesson and some encouragement, within 10 minutes - LOVED THEM!! Short money, great investment for some outdoor activity. July 7, 2012
Purchased for kids I bought 2 of these for my 8 and 10 year olds. It was not 1st choice but ended up being a budget friendly option and the kids love them. They are light and easy to manuever on the water. Also they are light enough for the kids to drag in and out of water. They keep asking me to install fishing rod holders so they can fish the lakes with me. I am not sure i would put them on the ocean to surf them but in the bay, lakes, or flat rivers these would be great. June 24, 2012
Perfect! We have a 9 year old son and this worked perfectly for his first trip down the river in his own boat. We went back to get two more for our 6 year old girls. The instructions say it is approved down to that age range, but we haven't tried them yet. It also holds up to 130 lbs. so we had some small adults using them too. Very useful and easy to transport. Wow! This is awesome. My 12-year old son and my 10-year old daughter love this little kayak! It is so much fun and so easy to maneuver. I also love it -- even though I'm 49 years old, I'm only 115 pounds, so paddling this little kayak around was a breeze. But my husband (170 lbs) was too big for it. Am buying a second one! We purchased one for our six year old last year; it was such a hit for kids of all ages that we're getting a second one for his younger brother who turns five this month. I am not giving the product 5 stars as our first did not come with a pull/handle to make it easier to get out of the water. The current picture shows a handle. March 24, 2012
