Rated 5 out of 5 by LakeCountyPaddler Great Quality, Versatile Knee Brace
I badly "wrenched" my one knee playing paddle tennis - which, like basketball, has lots of quick direction changes and hard stops that can be hard on the knees. This was one of three "Shock Doctor" knee braces I bought so that I could have different models for practice and workouts versus match play. This one is could be used in most situations from practice workouts to match play - depending on how "tender" your knee feels at the time. Well constructed and comfortable. My thigh at the location where the top edge of the support brace comes to is about 22 inches, and the large size fits very snuggly - might consider sizing up?

Bought this brace for my 10 year old son, who had a mild knee sprain which occurred during football. He wore it 2 times, and not during practice, and the stitching became undone around opening of knee pad. I returned it and exchanged it for same make and model. The new brace has been great and has protected his knee from further injury.

Rated 4 out of 5 by sce Works as designed. Seems to hold up well.
Used by my daughter who had a knee injury playing soccer. Seems to work well. A little hot in warmer weather, but no loss of mobility wearing the brace.

Well made, strong and comfortable. Really does help keep my knee stable. Straps stay in place and are easy to set. Excellent product!!!

Rated 4 out of 5 by nursiep3 better support
As a 70+ yr. old , I find this knee brace more supportive than the one my orthopedist had me get . This brace is not nearly as cumbersome as that special brace.

Rated 1 out of 5 by Justin Do Not Buy... Extremely Uncomfortable.
This is great for support, but that's about it. The metal hinges make my knee feel a lot less likely to give out or anything(currently recovering from a knee injury), but this support is extremely uncomfortable. I measured my knee where it says to and bought the size that matched the measurement, but the first issue is I think it is too small for me. I should have taken it back right away, but I thought I'd get used to it. It probably wouldn't have made any difference anyway, my sister tried it on and certainly has smaller legs than I do and it rubs uncomfortably on her the same way it does me. It rubs badly on the back of my knee, by the time I'm done doing all my rehab workouts the back of my knee is completely raw and red.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Texadane Great with knee instability issues
Having recently experienced a level 2 MCL sprain I have experienced some instability and pain when walking, especially stairs.
I bought this knee brace to alleviate this and it worked!!! Within three days of wearing this my pain was gone (it had been there non-stop for 2 weeks), and I could walk our stairs at home again without discomfort.
It evens hold up when playing soccer again. It provides the confidence and stability to support the knee.
I love that it has a mesh net in the back of the knee, so you don't have a neoprene fold irritating your knee when sitting or bending the leg. I also appreciate that I do not feel sweaty or wet around the knee as with some other inferior neoprene products.
I highly recommend this for anyone requiring lateral support for their knee going through a healing process.
