Rated 5 out of 5 by BJJeduardo Worth the $50 for sure This is probably one of the best looking braces and effective I have seen and worn. I have torn my ACL twice in the same knee. This has helped me workout with comfort and stability during rehab. What I like about the brace is the hinges are actually in the brace not like most that can be taken out on the sides held by velcro againt the brace. The ones that come out have a problem, which is when you bend your knee they bow out and defeats the purpose. The shock doctor stays hugged against your knee which gives you that extra stability and also has straps to make it more tight if needed. It isn't bulky as well and doesnt irritate me. It was worth the money for sure. I didnt want to go the cheap route and very happy I bought this. I curently do Brazilian Jiu Jitsu and doesnt seem to hold me back and gives me that extra sense of security that my knee is secure. January 30, 2013
Rated 4 out of 5 by nursiep3 better support As a 70+ yr. old , I find this knee brace more supportive than the one my orthopedist had me get . This brace is not nearly as cumbersome as that special brace. August 29, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by CJ11200 Good support for vulnerable or injured knees, reasonable price I purchased this brace to help rehab a badly sprained knee and then support the knee on a multi-day backpacking trip that included a lot of very rough off trail hiking and boulder hoping. It provides great lateral support with minimal interference with movement. It allowed me to do a lot of things I would not have tried without it. It is breathable enough that my knee did not get too hot and sweaty as with previous neoprene type braces. I did experience some irritation and abrasion on one spot on the inside of my knee when wearing it for several hours; only way I found to avoid this was to cushion that part of the knee with a gauze pad and surgical tape. I did not experience this when wearing it for shorter periods of 1-2 hours with several hours or overnight between periods of wearing it. September 15, 2014
Rated 1 out of 5 by Justin Do Not Buy... Extremely Uncomfortable. This is great for support, but that's about it. The metal hinges make my knee feel a lot less likely to give out or anything(currently recovering from a knee injury), but this support is extremely uncomfortable. I measured my knee where it says to and bought the size that matched the measurement, but the first issue is I think it is too small for me. I should have taken it back right away, but I thought I'd get used to it. It probably wouldn't have made any difference anyway, my sister tried it on and certainly has smaller legs than I do and it rubs uncomfortably on her the same way it does me. It rubs badly on the back of my knee, by the time I'm done doing all my rehab workouts the back of my knee is completely raw and red. July 18, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by Dan Great support Been a long time since I was able to run like this! Great support for medial lateral injuries! October 10, 2014
Rated 3 out of 5 by Spoolfed good lateral support Good lateral support which is way I bought the product but the top strap is not lined properly to give a proper fit. You almost have to leave it looser than it should be or it will cut the circulation if pulled tight. Overall good product. September 18, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by TC Happy so far Very happy, but limited use so far , a chart with the differences between The different types of braces and protection levels would be nice Also price was more then I wanted to pay for a " need" item vs a " want" item . Found it cheaper elsewhere after my purchase . September 16, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Smackme Best one I've had yet Well made, strong and comfortable. Really does help keep my knee stable. Straps stay in place and are easy to set. Excellent product!!! September 5, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by esmith Excellent brace, sturdy. I had a partially torn LCL but didn't want to miss out on the broomball season. (Think hockey with shoes) This brace was around the middle of the pack as far as price goes, but the material felt like it was durable, and the brace felt well put together. I've worn it now for about 10 hours of play time, and I must say I'm very impressed. The brace stayed in place even when it got soaking wet from the melted ice, breathed well and didn't chafe. It provided excellent support, and a few times when I took a fall, it prevented my knee from torquing the wrong direction. All this while not being overly restrictive, it hardly felt like I was wearing anything on my knee most of the time. January 22, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by bartone BETTER BRACE Comfort and support are two features that are difficult to recocile. This brace manages both better than past braces I have used. I have such knee damage that I have to wear something most of the time. Hot days produce some persperation - but that is unavoidable. For the price this is a superior brace. July 2, 2012
