Rated 4 out of 5 by Wolf Looks Great!
Looks like a fantastic knee brace, a friend of mine has one and he says its awesome, takes quite a load off of his knees. The knee brace is actually kinda heavy...that is for knee braces. Unfortantly...Shock Doctor doesn't make these any bigger...the XXL is a max of 16.25" and my knee is 21.50". I am really big guy and it's disappointing that Shock Doctor only makes smaller knee braces when they are known for their good products.

Rated 3 out of 5 by schmidy Size runs too small
Seems like a good knee brace but I couldn't use it because it is way too small.
Purchased the largest size and can't get it on. I will be returning it. Looks like a good brace but make sure you order a large size. Other reviews say the same so I ordered the XL and it is way too small.

My knee was bothering me slightly since I play many sports. I bought this product to support my knee while playing.

Seriously... Make sure you get one that fits tight. Works like a charm. Tore my knee up bad, playing volleyball. Other foam braces, wraps, etc., weren't enough. The Shock Doctor gives me the confidence to get back out there. Had to order my size, because it was sold out. Was told I could return it if it didn't fit. Arrived at my home in about a week.

Rated 4 out of 5 by JTB Overall Pretty Good
The knee brace stayed in place and helped tremendously, but the stitching comes iut very easily towards the knee cap.

Rated 4 out of 5 by Broncobill Product is good, but sizing is off.
I ordered an XL knee brace. I am 6'5" 245 lbs. I did the measurements and looked at the chart which revealed an XL would fit. I received the knee brace and it was way to small. Otherwise, this would have been a good knee brace. I guess they need an XXL for us Bigfoots.

Rated 1 out of 5 by Mlee Poor quality construction
I purchased a pair of these braces in October. I have returned them three times for replacement. Each time I received the replacements, they too were damaged. In my view the product design is sound, however they are poorly constructed. There is apparently, no quality control at the manufacturer or Dick's in this regard. It costs to have to return items over and over.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Chopper_Chuck To knee or not to knee
About 3 years ago, I stepped out of a golf cart to hit a tee shot and my left knee did a short "drum solo" and swelled up to the size of a melon! It's been pretty hosed ever since and since I started playing more golf recently, has become very painful. So, after some research, I decided to purchase the Shock Doctor Ultra Knee Support. On day one, just to get a feel for the unit, I wore the brace all day, but just around the house with nothing beyond normal daily activity. i was surprised that it was quite comfortable and did not bother me in the least. When I removed it at bed time, I was again surprised that my leg was only slightly damp and not irritated. On day 2, I wore it to the golf course and walked 9 holes. Now, I should mention that my idea of walking 9, involves playing multiple balls on every hole (can't warm up to a driving range, so this is my mode of practice) and I get a good workout. It's really amazing how wearing this brace immediately alleviated the constant feeling of impending doom of the knee getting torqued and sending mind-bending pain straight to my brain! The brace held everything in place quite nicely and was not aggravating or uncomfortable to wear for my stroll on the course. Upon removal, i again discovered quite acceptable levels of moisture and skin irritation was negligible. This unit is sophisticated and very well made. It is very easy to put on and remove and also easy to adjust in terms of how tightly you want to wrap up your knee. I kept mine pretty tightly wrapped, but the brace still had even more tension available. It has moisture wicking technology, which works very well. Care of the unit is also easy and from the look of the high quality construction and materials, will provide great longevity. I am quite pleased with this product. The fact that you can get something like this without a prescription is another plus. It nice to be able to drive into my left side again without the fear of having to crawl back to the club house! If you need a knee brace, check out the line of Shock Doctor products before you but anything else !

Rated 5 out of 5 by LakeCountyPaddler Most Support I've Ever Experienced in a Brace
I badly "wrenched" my one knee playing paddle tennis - which, like basketball, has lots of quick direction changes and hard stops that can be hard on the knees. This was one of three knee braces I bought so that I could have different models for practice and workouts versus match play. This one is the heavy-duty option for maximum protection during workouts. This has the quality you'd expect for a pro football player to use. Well constructed and comfortable. My thigh at the location where the top edge of the support brace comes to is 22 inches, and the large size fits very snuggly - might consider sizing up?
