Rated 5 out of 5 by RevCloud RevCloud This product has amazing features. There are loads of storage options. the system is vey comfortable and the support system is easily adjusted(able). The Red Cloud 90 has enough storage capacitiyh and ample pockets to accommodate even the most discerning mountaineer and day hiker. Really enjoyed my recent summit at Mount Mansfiled, Stowe VT. and the easy day hike to the Von Trap camp, even portaging Thanksgiving turkey sandwiches. I love the detactable day pack option. Rated 4 out of 5 by 12 Big, Sturdy, and comfortable This bag is used as a hunting & camping backpack. I have a small torso so I needed a bag that could carry a lot but would still adjust down to about 15.5-16 inches (I'm 5'8", 175 pounds). This bag was the biggest one I could find at a reasonable price (Dick's did an awesome price match!). I was able to hike in over 5 miles with 55-60 pounds attached and was still in total comfort on a hot day (and back out as well). I love all the adjustments that could be made with the bag; I was even able to carry a scoped rifle and trip[od, along with tent, pad and sleeping bag and all the food and clothing and water pump and game bags and knives and... you get the idea. You can even attach a sidearm to the belt. I tried a bag that cost 3 times as much (Tenzing) but held less and had zippers rip out. Sure, it looked cooler, but it wasn't nearly as great of a deal. Oh yeah, I also had room left over in the bag as well. Downside was that the fabric is a little noisy and not extremely durable, it does not come with a rainfly, and the netting part of the pouches on the belt tear very easily. I still would make the same purchase again! I feel pretty good about this Kelty product! November 13, 2012
Rated 4 out of 5 by Sir Ryan Awesome pack! Excellent bag. Has pockets, tie downs, and clips everywhere. I like the sleeping bag compartment. You can reach from the top or bottom of the bag without haveing to take everything out. The cinch down straps are nice for making sure gear doesn't create an unbalanced scenario. Called Kelty after I bought it to buy more clips. They said they dont sell them, but they would send me some for free. That's cool! Only downfall (why I didnt rate 5 stars) is I am exactly 6' tall and the waist strap is just a little higher than I would have liked. And yes, I did adjust the frame to its tallest setting.
