works great My mom and dad had a percolator like this one when I was a child. Always smells like home when I use it. February 21, 2015
Don't waste your money! Bought this a week ago, in Pok. NY Store. Third use, the stem in the basket fell into garbage, with the used grounds. I chose stainless thinking more sturdy than Al.. Thought, ok I can work around that. Well it's only plated on the outside, inside is oxide black staining already, the glass bulb, the threaded portion dropped into the pot tonight in shards. I got this to replace Mr. Coffee, tired of them. Thought go back to stove top/camp percolator. So sorry I got this piece of garbage! If you want a disposable coffee pot, this is for you! Yeah, I thought when I read some reviews, some folks could brake a brick. This thing, is TRASH! October 5, 2014
Have Used this Model for Years Use it at home and camping - wife drinks decaf so I like to make a separate pot on the home cook top - the coffee comes out much hotter because I like to "cook" it on a low simmer after initial boil for about 8 - 10 min - this also prevents the strainer from over flowing. Coffee tastes much better/stronger than drip systems. You must use a coarse ground . Also the strainer and base are all polished stainless steel NOT aluminum like a lot of cheaper purc pots at camping supply places. I have not had issues with spot welds but, I could see where this could occur and be a problem. Quality of the wooden handle is ok. Came with an extra glass capsule for top - you can also order replacement caps on Amazon for around $2. Pot makes about 4-5 standard size mug fulls. April 8, 2014
the coffee pot workgood both the pots I order work good the shipping time was good.they got here faster then I thought they would.I am happy with them and hope they will last aout 30 years like my last ones did. January 25, 2014
Nice Upgrade This is a nice upgrade, you won't be disappointed. The shipping was pretty fast, even during the holidays.. January 19, 2014
Works well I recently tried this coffee percolator and am quite pleased with it. It has stainless steel for durability and no leaching. The coffee brews in about 15 minutes or slightly less and comes with an extra glass bulb for the top in case you break the original. It should work great camping or power outage. May 29, 2013
Works great. I am satisified with my purchase.Having the glass top let's you see that it is percolating. The one problem with any percolating pots is that coffe is ground finer for electric machines with finer filter systems. So,expect some grinds in your cup.I would buy this one over other I have used. 9 cup percolator This percolator worked great on our camping trip. I advise taking the basket out before you pour the coffee, or you'll have grounds. Fresh brewed coffee was wonderful. The woooden handle is a nice benefit, but you'll still need a pot holder to take it off the fire. My only complaint would be that I would have preferred larger capacity, we had to make x2 to serve our group. August 18, 2012
good product take it camping May 8, 2012
Handle broke While hand washing it right out of the box, the spot weld holding the bottom of the handle broke. May 1, 2012
