Rated 5 out of 5 by Lawmom Great for carpal tunnel
Upon the advice of my doctor I bought wrist supports to wear at night to help with carpal tunnel. The supports hold my wrists in a neutral position wile sleeping. I noticed a difference the first night. No more waking up during the night with numb, tingling fingers!

Rated 5 out of 5 by Z Good support product
Great for sports or activities where you need wrist support but also flexibility (I use mine for volleyball and exercising). Comes with 4 support plastic rods that fit into the small pocket on the outside sleeve and can be removed or inserted depending on how stiff you want the support. Washes easily, great product. Not a substitute for full immobility if a brace is need.

Rated 5 out of 5 by B. Squared Excellent Wrist Brace: "Shock Doctor"
Through the years I've tried/used various wrist braces. I recently suffered a slight sprain, and used a friend's brace, as we play a lot of tennis together. Although the size I needed was a "medium," I used his brace (size: large) for one set. The "Shock Doctor" wrist brace assisted me to play, was supportive where I needed it, and I ordered a "medium" and currently play with it. Slowly my wrist is improving.

This support gives strong comfort without being uncomfortable. I have a sprained wrist, and since receiving it, I have used it for weight lifting, playing a racket sport and even have used it during cycle classes to make sure I don't put too much weight on my wrists. I am very happy with it.

Rated 4 out of 5 by Paulinks Good, not perfect
I got this brace to replace one given to me by my doctor or thumb and wrist arthritis. My goal was to support the wrist with a more compact brace that I could fit a bicycle glove over. In general this brace does what I wanted. It doesn't support the thumb at all but that is okay on the road bike. Although I can get a glove over it, it is still a tight fit.
My only complaint is that the thumb hole digs into my hand at the base of the thumb. After a two hour ride it was becoming irritating. I'm not sure how long I would want to wear this. Also, like every brace, I suppose, I expect it to become a stinking sponge when riding in the heat of summer.

Rated 4 out of 5 by David051 comfortable, but rod-sleeves don't last long
The product is comfortable and apparently durable, but the sleeves through which the carbon(?) sticks run burst after about 15 uses. Dicks replaced one for me, since I'd kept the box and receipt (who does that?), but I can't keep on going back to them. And at $25-30, these wrist protectors ain't cheap. If I find another, less expensive model I might shift over.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Lisa Marie This is what a Doctor would prescribe
I needed support when using Kettlebells doing the snatch lift. The bone on my wrist was shocked when not having any protection when attempting the snatch lift and learning the proper form. I was able to layer another weight lifting glove over this wrap and lift without any discomfort. The employees helped me with the Shock Doctor Wrist Sleeve and I found the other glove on the back wall of the store. Where the thumb fits into the wrap and fits around the inside of hand may need a thicker suede material with spandex. The Chiropractor pulled the balls of wrist back into place and the gloves are doing the job protecting the joint of the wrist. I will continue using the gloves for workouts even after the wrist has healed. Shock Doctor Wrist Sleeve is the perfect title for this product. Thank you for your support. Lisa
