9' Ugly Stik two piece Went fishing on February 7th for the first time. Caught two bull reds, one 44 inches and one 35 inches. Rod performed very well first time out. Very pleased indeed. February 8, 2013
perfect surf rod I wanted a rod to surf fish off of Myrtle beach when I go on vacation. I purchased the 12 foot ugly stick. I took it to the football field to see how far I could cast with a 3 oz weight and 40 lb test braided line. It took a while to get used to whipping such a long pole, but my best cast was 73yards. I think I could have cast further but the line kept breaking. I love this pole. Will let you know if I catch anything on vacation in November. October 30, 2012

Nothing but Ugly Stick for me I have several Ugly Stick rods and they have never failed me. I've seen them bend to the point that the tip touches handle and they don't snap. For me there is no other choice. February 24, 2012
