Pflueger Apprentice Spinning Combo An amazing tool to add to your fishing arsenal. I'm more of a bait casting guy, but always wanted to try the spinning reel. Pflueger is a name you can trust and the price point at Dick's for this combo can't be beat. After a few tries in my backyard, I took it to the local lake. I LOVE IT! Easy to use! July 2, 2012
Good Combo Got this for my girlfriend, she loves it, i put 12lb bps lines on it and its held up on some nice fish including a 7.5lb bass. only thing i dont like is the short rod but its good for her. May 27, 2012
Not represented correctly Let me start off by saying that this is a really nice, well built rod and reel combo. I am a big fan of pflueger. Everything I have seen of theirs is high quality. That being said, I have a problem with the way this is listed on Dicks website. I bought this to be my primary small creek kayak fishing rod and reel. It has listed on this item that is holds 8lb-15lb test, (which the rod says its made for 8-15), but the reel is small and it is only rated for 4lb to 8lb line. I am not happy that it has such a small capacity for the 8lb line I use. Long story short, I think this is a great combo, especially for the price. It is not what I want to be using when out searching for the creek monsters. April 6, 2012
