Field & Stream Fiberglass Kayak Paddle 4.1 5 16 16
Nice paddle I really liked the paddle the first three times i used it but after that the fiberglass is starting to delaminate May 7, 2013
Worth the price I was a little hesitant at first purchasing this paddle because of the price. After having used it, it is by far the best paddle I own, very light, seems well made, fish measuring tape printed on one side of the paddle and the fact it's freaking badass camo are all factors why I would suggest this paddle to anyone who can afford it April 23, 2013
Excellent Fiberglass Shaft Paddle This is an excellent fiberglass shaft paddle. It's fairly lightweight, but heavy enough to feel sturdy. The paddles are where most of the weight is. Unlike what other reviews mention, I haven't had any trouble with this paddle not floating. When I got it home, I chucked it in my pool and left it there for over 30 minutes. It didn't get a drop of water inside the shaft and was floating high in the water. Otherwise, I was going to add some sort of flotation foam to it, but I'm glad I didn't have to add any bulk to it. I needed a 240cm paddle and was lucky to find the 240cm one at a Dick's grand opening. I haven't seen the 240cm model of this paddle at any other Dick's, but I think it's available online. The curved shape of the paddles is nice and allows me to really get my kayak moving with minimal water noise. The paddles are thick, sturdy plastic that is strong enough to push off from the bank, etc. I only have a couple negatives with this, none of them deal-killers and didn't stop me from giving it 5 stars: 1. When you feather the paddle no matter which direction you twist the shaft, one of the paddles will serve as a nice spoon/scoop for holding water that usually pours into the kayak during the stroke. I don't feel the need to feather the paddle often, though, so it wasn't a big deal for me. 2. The decal that comes stuck on one of the paddles was an absolute BEAR to get off, and there's still some glue residue on there. April 23, 2013
For a good paddling... What a difference a good paddle makes when paddling (with) your Lady. Just the extra 10cm of the 230cm paddle I purchased seemed to make a huge difference in moving my tank of a 14ft yak. Boy, if only they'd had a 240cm one in the store. Compared to the aluminum behemoth the yak came with would be like comparing a rowboat to a wave-runner. Really like this paddle and I think you will too. February 26, 2013
bought a 2nd one We liked this so much we bought a second one for our other kayak. It works well and is light weight. "Field & Stream" writing helps the kids know how to hold the paddle. I read the "it sank" review and we are beginners, so I added floats. I took a swim noodle and cut three 4 inch sections. Two of the sections I cut open hoizonally like plumbing pipe insulation and put them on the handle. Cut pieces from the third section to fill in the gaps and ran black duct tape around the floats. Bought the 230 size, but my husband is over 6 ft and would have preferred a slightly longer paddle. We have heavy sit-on fishing kayaks. September 1, 2012

would buy another Light , well made , easy to use July 10, 2012
Awsome Paddle !! I have really enjoyed this paddle since purchasing it a few weeks ago. It is lightweight and breaks down for transport or storage. I really like the hand indexing feature which confirms which way you are holding the paddle. July 9, 2012
Worth the Money! Best paddle for the money. Light enough for long days of paddling. Comfortable handle, and looks good too! Get one! July 9, 2012
IT SANK good looking paddle, light, but the paddle fell in water and sank. We were in the middle of a large lake and had to get towed back to shore. Very dissapointed. July 1, 2012
