I bought one of them to go snapper fishing off the coast. Spooled with 25# Berkeley XT. After getting the brake set....this thing works like a CHAMP. Smooth casting and goes a LONG way. Pulled in several big snapper and 1 18# pound King. I am very please with the overall operation of this I am buying another one. This hauled in fish with no flaws. When I got back the wife and I went cat fishing on the Cumberland and the reel again worked through the night pulling in several big cats (1-15#...1-22#) with no flaws. The clicker system on live bait worked great...and hook set is quick and deep. September 26, 2013
Rated 1 out of 5 by Hoff Junk These reels (Corvalus) are about the worst I have bought from Shimano. I bought one last year to put on a fluke rod and found that braided fetches up in the level wind, which is all plastic now with a hole for the line to go through. The Braided will also loop around it causing a headache trying to unwrap. It is also slow to drop when bottom fishing. Do not waste your money. August 12, 2013
