Rated 3 out of 5 by So far so good For the price....around $100.00 it is a reasonable value. 1. without any obstructions I can range up to 80 yards, that's as far as I have tried. but be advised, the 600 yard ranging is for high reflective surfaces, though I have not verified this. 2. The one button operation keeps the usage of this device to "Keep It Simple Stupid" (KISS) a very good thing to have. 3. the 9 volt battery adapter is a standard cable with "plug", be very careful when replacing the battery. a cavity where you could insert the battery in would be easier, but would also have it's failure potential. 4. The outer casing has a very "cheap" feel to it, would a thicker plastic housing have cost so much more? 5. I have not tried using this in the rain, not sure if I want to, but will most likely have to at some point. 6. Over all I would recommend this to any one who is on a budget, for something like bow hunting or anything else that the engagement range is less than 100 yards, this seems to be a good starter LRF. Rated 4 out of 5 by Used for golfing I have owned my slvr for five years and use it mostly as a golf range finder. It has performed as well as the more expensive brands used by others in my group.also I use it while hunting fox, coyotes and prairie dogs with superb results. November 1, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by GREAT RANGE FINDER for the price Well I got this range finder for a hunting trip last minute to upatate ny alot of ateep hills and ridges where I hunt it will range out to 600 to a reflective target 400 to a tree and 200 to a deer pretty good magnification was able to range up to 350 yards this weekend bought it for 89.99 on sale great buy ranged a deer at 45 yards and took her with my crossbow knew exactly what pin to use on my scope after I ranged her November 10, 2014
Rated 4 out of 5 by Handy Rangefinder I bought this rangefinder to use for deer hunting so I could get a better idea of which scope reticle I should use on my crossbow. When I get setup I use this to range some landmarks in my area to get an idea of how far the deer will be from me when they show up. I measured out the distance from my house to shed with a measuring tape and also used this rangefinder. Both were the same so it seems accurate. The rangefinder itself is small and lightweight and fits nicely into my small hunting pack. It also comes with a carrying case that you can attach to a belt. It takes a 9 volt battery which can be bought at your local grocery store, others take camera type batteries which can be hard to find. It did not come with a lanyard or carrying cord which would have been nice for hanging around your neck or from your tree stand. I made a small carrying loop out of some 550 cord. Overall I'm glad that I purchased this rangefinder. October 10, 2013
Rated 4 out of 5 by Good value. This is my 2nd archery season using this rangefinder. I am satisfied ranging distances up to 200 yds, although I only needed accuracy up to 40 yds for my crossbow. As a result, sighting in my scope was quick and easy and I knew exactly the distance of the two deer I shot after using the rangefinder. Wish I'd purchased it when I used a compound bow. Very reasonable price. October 29, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Excellent Very quick readings point, press, and there is your range. Using for hunting. October 16, 2014
Rated 4 out of 5 by Decent for the price I have actually had one of these for years and just bought another for a friend. It has survived small falls and keeps working. It is not as precise as others, meaning you have to put the target carefully in the box when you trigger it but it works great. November 25, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Accurate, easy use.... This is the 2nd one of these that I've tried using & so far, I really like it. It is reasonable in price, very accurate, & easy to use. I might add that this item went on an additional sale a few days later & Dick's gave me the price adjustment on it. Great service! October 22, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Great value I was looking for inexpensive rangefinder. I only use to range trees within 30 yds of archery stand and it works great for that. Never used for ranging long yardages yet but so far a great product. And it has 9 volt battery instead of expensive cr2. October 16, 2014
Rated 4 out of 5 by great rangefinder for the price I've only had this rangefinder for a week but so far so good. I took it to a bow shoot yesterday and it did a very good job judging the 30 targets with the longest shot at 46 yards. A big plus is that it runs on a 9 volt battery which is much easier to change than the watch batteries that some rangefinders use. It is definitely a good rangefinder especially for the price. I only am giving it four stars because I have only had it a week. August 5, 2013
