Having tried many base layers... These are NOT worth the price. These work no better than a generic $20 pair of Hanes long underwear. In moderate cold, like 30-40 degrees, they do little if anything.Very disappointed.

I wore this baselayer for a recent ski trip to Utah. Kept me warm and didn't need another layer under my snow pants.

Have had the same pair of base layer REI brand for like 5 years, the shirt has shrunk enough that I needed to buy a new set, Love Columbia products and have used them for years. As soon as you put them on and the cold feeling of the idle shirt goes away you instantly feel the warmth. Play Disc Golf a bunch, for the winter rounds, these are going to fit the bill perfectly. Have not tried them in high aerobic activities but layered properly they will breath and wick perfectly. These are a bit pricey in my eyes but worth every penny, 100% would buy again.

My husband really likes his Omni-Heat baselayer bottoms. He reports that it is comfortable and keeps him warm even when the temperature is below freezing. When it warms up during the day, he is still comfortable because the fabric breathes. He normally wears a medium size, but the snug fit makes it more comfortable for him to wear a large size. He has not even had to wear his coveralls when he is working outside! The men he works with can't believe that.

i work outside and at nights a lot of times. the coldest we see where i am is the low 20s, and these are perfect with a pair of sweat pants over them. they are very warm, but breathe well when it warms up. the wind will shoot right through them, so i usually go with a pair of fleece sweats over them and am fine.

I bought my husband a pair of midweight omni-heat tights and one of the midweight zip tops to use when he works outside in cold weather. He LOVES them! He didn't even need to wear his coveralls in the cold early morning and was quite comfortable! When the sun warmed the air during the day, he expected to be hot wearing them, but he said he was cool and comfortable. We're sold on the Omni-Heat products! He usually wears medium size, but asked me to exchange them before he wore them. He liked the large size better. They are tights, after all.
