Love this!!
Yes only the first time I tried it, it hurt because I didn't know how to use it properly, it came with no instructions on use. I read about working out with this type of hula hoop, and got it! If you swing it the left, step your left foot out to begin, before you start swinging the hoop. It worked for me. I can go a whole thirty minutes with it, I do break a sweat. And I'm not thin at all, if I can do it anyone can. Also, FYI I just bought this only two days ago. If you are getting hurt, it's because you aren't doing it properly. I love it!!! Great purchase I made!! I can feel it in my abs already.

LOVE IT!
I love this hula hoop. However watch out in the beginning, it's painful and can cause some bruising. I gave it a week and now I don't feel any pain or have any bruising. I've been using for over a year, it definitely works and you will lose weight!

Was excited about purchasing this product.
Was very disappointed with the hoop. It will not stay together and I have had to crazy glue it to try to keep it together. With the price I did expect a better product.

Extremely Painful!!!!!!!!
I bought this torture device today and will be returning it tomorrow! The design team that developed this thing definitely had a "What were we thinking" moment. The hard humps on the inside of this thing are so very painful! I am expecting to see bruising in the morning. I wouldn't be surprised if there is a Class Action Suit somewhere. These should definitely be removed from the shelves.

I wish this hoop was heavier!!
I've tried a weighted hula hoop bf but this one is a little too lite. But I do like it.

Painful Product
This product was not tested by anyone who invented it. If it was they would not have created it to have bumps on the inside. It is extremely painful to use. Causes bruising anywhere it touches around the waist/hip area. I will be taking mine back and getting one from a different store that is better made. This product should not be sold in the condition it is now. If the ridges were on the outside it would be wonderful

Ouch!
I used this three times and got two bruises on my abdomen and then the foam split and I returned it. I bought an empower one from target for $10 cheaper and it's much better. A little lighter and no bumps which I assume gave me the bruises.

Poor Design
I bought this for my girlfriend because it looked like fun. It was fairly easy to assemble, and the foam padding is nice. However, the plastic ridges on the inside made the hoop painful to use. Neither of us could use it for more than a minute without feeling like we would be bruised. If you want to simulate getting beaten with a stick this is the product for you.

Super fun!
I am fully satisfied with my purchase of this hula hoop. However watch out in the beginning. I got some bruising the first day. The only thing that would make the purchase better is a DVD or chart of different exercises. That would be awesome but you tube has a ton! :)
