First time owner
This is my first crossbow. My wife bought it for me as a gift. I was not sure if I would like it. My wife is the hunter in this family I am proud to say. When she put it together and we took it out back to take a couple shots I was hooked. She took me hunting last year with it and I enjoyed it so much. I am ready for 2013 hunting season to hit.

Disappointed
I have the crossbow as a gift, only to find out that when my sister opened it the wrong instructions were in the box, for a completely different type of bow. This was very disappointing, as now she has to return the bow to get the right I strict ions to put the thing together. I will probably not purchase anything on line from Dick's unless the situation is resolved to her satisfaction. Bad quality control for such an expensive gift.

Wow
Being my first crossbow, I was impress of the "whole package deal". From the time of delivery to my first bolt fired I just kept smiling. I had my wife shoot it and she really liked it also (might have to get another one). I can honestly say that putting it together as per instruction and doing final tuning in sighting the red dot scope it came with it became very consistant bolt after bolt. Also, the rope cocking (after getting the right length for my height) was a flawless operation. Wow, that's all I can say for what I spent and for what I've got and Wow, it's also a Barnett. I guess, putting it together really gave me the appreciation of knowing all I need to know about this crossbow in being confident of shooting it and hitting my tatget. "WOW"!

not worth the money
Ordered it online. When it came to me it was missing some major parts. Took it to the local dicks and exchanged it for a SA Sports mag. Fever and I love it took a deer with it this season and with 20" bolts you can reach out to 30 yard no problem.

Enjoyable
This is my first crossbow. I liked the idea of a recurve but could not afford a more "expensive" one. It took me a little bit to assemble, just trying to do it right. Got the red dot scope sighted at 20 yards and took it hunting. Shot and killed a 225# eight point deer at 12 yards the first morning I went. I have complete confidence in this bow now and have since put a 4X scope on it. That is the only thing that I felt was not up to the rest of the bow. I also like the fact that it is made in the USA. I got the rope cocker for it and believe that it helps. If this holds up, I doubt I will ever get one of the more "expensive" crossbows.

Set up was a snap.The red dot scope was a snap to sight in and got a lot of good comments on it from others

Great starter crossbow
Bought it for my 14 yr old,bow is light and the reddot makes it spot on! Needs to come w/ a better cocking rope,got it at Dick's [$]

I like it
It was a little hard for me to assemble but I have old fingers and old eyes. I like the weight of the bow. I own a C5 and this bow takes the same cocking system and it about half the weight.

Confused about my order
The Main Crossbow is great but i am very disappointed in the ret dot site that was featured in the package. I do believe there might be something broken on it but, i am not totally sure yet. I just received it today in the mail so i haven't had a chance to contact Dick's Sporting Goods. I was also fooled by the picture which made the impression that it comes with the original Barnett Panzer V red dot scope. I am disappointed in the pictures false advertisement.
