hiking socks
I love the Smart Wool socks...they are seamless, so there is no rubbing or pressure points. I have a small foot, so I like how they fit closely, without bunching or excess. I wear them most of the time, even with slacks because of the comfort.

Really nice socks for hiking
Just got back from a trip to Switzerland. Wore these socks at the Glacier Palace next to the Matterhorn at 3838 M above Sea level. Kept my feet warm and dry and comfortable for hiking.

awesome for summer hiking
This sock has some support that is helpfull for longer hikes (over 20 miles). The wool is thinner on top of sock for ventilation which makes a difference. I appreciate the shorter height as well to avoid having more wool and heat on lower part of my legs.
