Best shoes I've ever worn
When I first heard about the minimalist movement, I was a skeptic. My girlfriend bought a pair of those creepy finger-toe shoes that never fail to make me cringe when I see them. She raved about how comfortable they were, but I couldn't get past the look of them. When I saw that these Merrells were on sale, I decided to give them a shot. Oh man, am I glad I did. I live about 3.5 miles from downtown Pittsburgh and often walk to and from work. My entire route is on very busted up streets, and I was blowing through shoes at a ridiculous rate, while still having aching feet by the time I got home. With these shoes, I can feel the pavement, but the cinders and broken glass hardly bother me. I can also feel my leg muscles working harder. It did not take long for me to be converted. I plan on buying many more pairs of shoes like this.

Glove Running Shoe
The first time I ran in these shoes, I was disappointed that they would not stay tied unless in double knots. They came untied three times during a one-mile run. Also not great for running outdoors, if your feet are sensitive. You will feel every rock underfoot. Probably better for treadmill running, although it felt to me like a lot more pounding on my joints than in a cushioned running shoe. I will probably reserve these shoes for aerobics/low impact workouts only.

Good Trail Shoes
Overall, this shoe is great for trail runs. I would not recommend wearing these shoes if a significant part of your run is on pavement, however. There is too little shoe to protect the foot (especially the heel) from hard surfaces that have no give. At full price, these shoes are overpriced, but I was able to get them on sale for about $35 off. In terms of sizing, I really needed the 10.5, but Dicks does not carry this size. I bought a pair of brooks connect from Dicks and had the same problem. The 11s work fine with the brooks, but the Merrells are slightly too big. Some online shoe providers offer 10.5, but I need to try my shoes on and there are only a few stores that provide a decent selection of running shoes where I live. I would encourage Dicks to start carrying the 10.5.

Great hiker!
Just spent a week in these shoes -- they were a perfect shoe for all terrains. Also going to invest in pairs for my husband and son! They slipped a lot on our hikes through Utah and Arizona and I did not.Super lightweight and easy to pack. I wore them with climbing socks...no blisters all week long!

Great shoes
I bought these shoes for work, I'm a nurse and work long hours on my feet. They were recommended to me by a co-worker/friend. I LOVE them. They are comfortable, I can run well in them, my feet aren't all sweaty at the end of my shift and most important my feet don't hurt!! I have narrow heels and the back of the shoe very comfortably hugs my heel so well, there is no slippage at all. I get so many compliments on these I'm sure I'll see these on my co-workers as well. When the salesman got them from the back, he said he had to double check and make sure there were shoes in the box because they are so light weight. Great shoe!!

Very comfortable sneaker
This is my second purchase of this sneaker. The front allows your toes to have sufficient room to feel good while the flat bottom stretches out your leg muscles...takes a little getting used to but then becomes your favorite comfortable shoe. It was recommended to me by a massage therapist to help foot pain and to help align your body correctly. Plus it looks cute. I haven't tried running in it but wear it everyday as my go to sneaker.

Barefoot??
I almost can't believe I'm actually wearing shoes! These are the most comfortable pair of athletic shoes I think I've ever owned. Plenty of room in the toes, nice arch support, and they literally weigh nothing. I'm not a runner, but just for every day walking around these are amazing!!

Love this Shoe
Was a little hesitant to buy a "barefoot" shoe, but these are as comfortable to work out in as I could imagine. I feel like they help me know my feet better, if that makes sense. And the icing, they are kinda cute too.
