Rated 4 out of 5 by Meg Bought for our little monkeys
Believe it or not, this was not purchased for adult exercise, but because of our stir crazy kids who missed the monkey bars during a long cold winter. We hung it on our daughter's door frame and she definitely spends a lot of time jumping up to it and hanging. The only reason it does not get 5 stars is because there is a small screw that holds the bars together, so they can change lengths. This screw is sharp and anyone using the bar will need to avoid putting their hands on it. We covered it with some tape. The bar was such a hit we gave it as a birthday present to a 10 year old girl who is also a gymnast and a monkey and their family loved the idea!

Well built and good design. I actually purchased this bar for my gymnastic crazy daughter as a practice horizontal bar. She used the bar in the low swing down position and I use the bar in both positions all without losing the functionality of the doorway being used. The instructional material lends itself to working your way up to those hard to do full pull-ups. Recommend this product.

It works really well, and even though my husband installed more for his height than mine, I can still use it. Good value for the price and my needs/

Rated 4 out of 5 by wanelis50 This product is simple and not have many moving parts. I need it for two things; to releive presure and maintain arm strength.
I have not used a pull up bar for 20 years now. The first bar I owned I baught while in my second apartment; from Fox medical supply company. That bar helped me stand up on my feet and put weight on my legs. This bar will help me maintain my strength in my arms as I get older. I always had strong arms but have been in a wheelchair since 1985. Even thow I have always had a manual chair and my arms have always been my mod of propultion, I have to make sure that my strength do not deplete so fast or I become old to quick. I am fifty years old sense last year fifty one this year; and I will use this bar to m-a-i-n-t-a-i-n my arm strength while releiving presure from my buttocks. I will give an update on this review in a couple of months to a year, to let you know how I'm doing with this piece of equipment. I know that as long as this equipment will hold my 249 lb body; I while be able to loose a little weight and ferm up just a little bit as I reenter college to finish my degree; and is still looking for my woman too mary, this is one of the hardest things that I have every attempted to do. Finding a women was not as hard when I was younger as it is now being in a wheelchair.
PS I'll give another review at the end of this year,

Rated 5 out of 5 by hamongog Great Value, Easy Installation...
This item is simple to install. It took only a few minutes. Comes with a template. You'll spend more time hunting for the right drill bit than anything else. Weight limit of 220#. The arm pivots to allow for two different exercises that will help you build strength for the actual pull-ups. You'll end up with four small holes in the door frame. There are more expensive items but why pay more?
