Rated 1 out of 5 by MattGR Unsafe Design Would not recommend this bench to anyone who weighs more than 180 lbs and can bench an average amount. The bench is very poorly designed. When pushing up to unrack the weight, you can feel the bench bend down toward the floor. There is only one flimsy weld that holds the inclining lever. Its also very unstable with incline press. This bench may be good for smaller individuals but would not recommend for anyone else. This was a poor investment. Would return if I could. February 5, 2014
Rated 1 out of 5 by borat68 horrible design I have owned my bench for a couple months. the other day while doing my bench presses i had 285 pounds on, did a rep and the bench felt like it was moving, I started to do another rep when the bench suddenly went down about 4 inches and shifted to the right. I was then caught with nearly 300 pounds of shifting weight in my hands. After finally getting the weight racked, i got up and checked the bench. To my surprise I found that the weld that held the bolt for the adjustment arm had completely tore in half. I was very fortunate not to get hurt. I have to return the bench to dicks, i do not have the box and an wondering what chaos i will have to go through to return this defective piece of equipment October 5, 2013
Rated 1 out of 5 by BG57 Dont waste the money I took my chance on a beginners bench like this hoping it would last me a year or more till I outgrew the 300 lb max. limit. I bought it less than 3 months ago and while lifting 225+ lb weights on various lifts, I didn't notice the two bottom bolts holding the towers were bending the metal on the towers, causing them to weaken/loosen. While reracking a significant amount of weight, the tower bent over enough causing the pin(which were slightly bending too over time) to slide out of the tower somehow with 250+ pounds crashing down into the safety pin and permanently bending one tower, causing it to be unusable/safe. Luckily I wasn't seriously hurt, but I really wouldn't recommend this product. Save up and spend it on something quality so that you won't be scrapping a 250$ piece of equipment down the road...or worse, getting hurt. I'm now kicking myself for wasting 250$ and trying to figure out if I can get something better. August 23, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by Roy Great bench I bought the bench months ago. I have used it a lot and I have not had a single problem. Only potential problem maybe for heavier guys or guys who can bench a lot. The only thing holding up the bench is a single weld. Mine has held up well but I am still a little afraid of it snapping one day. I would totally recommend this product with all that said because it hasn't broke yet. May 22, 2013

Rated 5 out of 5 by JulieMouse83 LOVE This Bench I purchased this bench/rack on Feb. 15, 2013 from our Garner, NC store. It was priced a little more than I had hoped to spend (I was looking for a squat rack, only), but this actually does everything that I needed it for. The lifts that I needed this for are squats, overhead press, and bench press. This fit the bill for all three. I also appreciate that I can later purchase the attachment that will allow me to do leg extensions, etc. All in all, a very good deal. Haven?t had any issues with it at all. March 27, 2013
Rated 3 out of 5 by Mac Need to look closer I just bought this bench and haven't even used it yet and was looking for someone to confirm that the bench seat does not sit square or flush on the base, and that yours also sits off to one edge a little. Also the bench moves forward and backwards so for you all that say the pins are too long all you need do is lift the seat and pull forward and it is perfect set up for doing nice bench press motion without even getting close to pins. For incline bench you lift and pull backwards and it is perfect and no pins in the way. March 4, 2013
Rated 3 out of 5 by retread solid starter system I have this bench. The longer safety catches are designed to be in the path of the bar. If you move away from them, they are useless. Personally, I do not use them except when experimenting with a heavier weight. My only issue is the slight instability with the bench. The sliding mechanism underneath the seat causes an off-center problem. Overall, though, this problem is worth dealing with to have a shoulder rack option. February 15, 2013
Rated 2 out of 5 by Webdog I Do not recommend buying this bench As other reviews has stated it's almost impossible to perform a basic bench press. The pins that hold the weight bar come to far out and when you are pushing the weight bar up from your chest you hit the pins. The only way I could make it work was to position myself toward the end of the bench where my but was hanging off the bench and even that was not a good solution as my body was not supported by the bench. Would strongly suggest looking for another bench to purchase. Thankfully the manager at the store was kind enough to let me exchange this for another product despite the fact It was assembled and no longer had the box. Was very happy that they understood my problem and wanted to make sure they had a satisfied customer which I was. January 12, 2013
Rated 2 out of 5 by Brandon "MiliTerry" T. Whats with the long pins?? I have used this only a few times, and each time I have, i've ran into the same issue as listed from others. I just checked to see if anyone else agreed that the pins for holding the bars are longer than needed. I don't mind so much the squat pins, but the "shorter" pins make lifting somewhat impossible. I have trained my gf on pulling them as soon as I push up, and she inserts them as soon as I am on my last rep. Their has been times that she gets nervous and takes alot longer than I expect with replacing them, and so the level of lifting that I am capable of is severely decreased. I will suggest that you look somewhere else for a bench, because this one just doesn't do it. September 22, 2012
