Rated 4.4 out of 5 by 68 reviewers.
Rated 5 out of 5 by Amazing This gun is simply awesome. I have shot 250 dollar guns that handle like this! This gun is super lightweight and has an exallent stock. I shot this gun today and was hitting quarter sized patter at 20 yards. Scope with this gun is good and the trigger is smooth. The lead pellets shoot quiet but the aluminum or other types of pellets shoot really loud. Good power and will easily kill a squirrel or rabbit. Great gun February 17, 2013
Rated 4 out of 5 by Gamo Big Cat 1250 This was my first air rifle purchase. I did some online research before I shopped and decided that Gamo was the way to go. I am very pleased with this rifle. It was accurate right out of the box, has great velocity for the price and is well made. The downside of that velocity is that the rifle is quite a bit louder than I expected. It almost sounds like a real .22. So, if you have nosy neighbors or don't want to draw any attention to yourself, you may want to try something else. March 5, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by An amazing air gun This gun is absolutely amazing. I just bought this gun and the price is great for such a good gun. I mainly shoot at targets but I have also shot some rabbits and a couple of birds. The gun is amazing but the scope is okay. The scope is not the best but it will do the job for any hunter. At first the crack barrel was hard to pull back, but after a while i got used to it. Great price, great quality, overall an amazing gun. July 23, 2013
Rated 4 out of 5 by this rifle is nice The rifle its self is very nice. Easy break barrel. Powerfull for a pellet rifle. Shoots very well. The only thing I didn't like is how long it took to sight the scope.has been accurate at 75yards with consistent grouping within 1inch July 31, 2014
Rated 4 out of 5 by Good purchase I bought this product for my 12 year old grandson. The quality of the gun is very good and it functioned well out of the box. The only concern we have is with the scope. It (scope) was very difficult to "sight in" and ever since it (scope) has not been accurate. The scope is not a good quality, and I had hoped for a little better. However, I still recommend the rifle. May 7, 2013
Rated 4 out of 5 by all around good and balanced gun the first thiong i liked about this gun was the impression that it gave me when i opened the box. it looked sleak and very similar to my actual .22. it is very durrable and i like the way the trigger is set up so that you dont have to mess around with the saftey before you shoot. it is pretty accurate once you get the scope adjusted. i like the system of ajusting the scope because the caps cover the actual correction knobs so if you bump something or it moves accidentally, you scope doesnt do crazy. i only have two complaints and a word of caution about this gun. i do not like that i have to mess with the barel to cock it and i dont like that it is a single shot. finally to the word of caution. DO NOT MESS WITH THE INSIDE OF THE SCOPE. leave it alone. i went to det a piece of something that was jumping around in the inside of the scope and the rectile snapped. the verticle part of the rectile snapped in half rendering it useless. Rated 5 out of 5 by This Product is great for the price I purchased the gamo big cat to introduce my children on how to respect firearms. I must say this is one of the best pellet rifles I have owned for the price. There was some assembly of mounting the scope on the rifle. The scope mounted on the rifle makes it very accurate. If you are looking for a pellet rifle with great accuracy I would strongly recommend the Big Cat July 19, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by Big Cat The gun shoots great, scope is also excellent when Zeroed in. Sounds like a .22 Long rifle. So if you don't want to draw to much attention this may not be the rifle for you.. you may want to look into the Gamo Whisper rifles. Gamo is a very well built brand. Great quality! Absolutely love the gun! June 21, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by bang bang Nice and lite, easy to kock the break action, scope could be more powerful. only drawback is that it is pretty loud. January 15, 2013
Rated 3 out of 5 by My last springer rifle ever! Sorry, but I have had it with springer rifles. This is my fourth one and best one I've had but still never matching the DEPENDABLE ACCURACY of a CO2 or PCP. I've been shooting and working on firearms and air rifles for 40 years and have tried everything in the book(and websites) to make a springer reliably accurate and I have come to the conclusion it can't be done. Many will disagree with me but it is true. Do the research. This rifle is nice and well made for it's price, that's why I gave it three stars but as with every springer I've owned or seen you got to prep the heck out of them. The three main stock screws will all have to be removed and coated with lock tight and repeated eventually again. The scope mount will have to have lock tight also and constantly checked if you do a lot of shooting. The scope is usable but is poor quality. So now you have to go buy a better scope if you want any type of accuracy. I've had this rifle for 2 weeks now and have put about a thousand pellets through it and it has ruined two scopes, the one that came with it and another air rifle scope I had that had been working perfectly fine, but no more. Springer rifles are terribly hard on scopes, period! The scope mounts are not the best either, there's another purchase. to be made. Plan on buying about $100 of different good quality pellets to see which one it prefers. If you don't already know about holding and shooting a springer rifle you better get educated, they are as finicky as a house cat. After about a thousand pellets now I still can't get dependable accuracy. It will group well for a while and then flyers. I can blame a bad pellet once in a while, an improper hold on the rifle, loose screws too, but not all the time. The barrel on mine was bent to one side which caused me to max my scope out to correct for it. I was able to bend it back#with care not hard to do on pellet rifle) and correct the problem. All the things you have to do and look for to get a springer to shoot dependably accurate is a pain in the bum for an old pro and a nightmare if you're a newbee. If you want a simple dependably accurate air rifle then buy a CO2 or PCP. What good or fun is a rifle that always shoots everywhere but the bullseye.!!!! By the way, Dick's was very good to deal with and I hold nothing against them. June 7, 2014
