Rated 4.5 out of 5 by 96 reviewers.
Rated 4 out of 5 by Dependable climbing sticks This is a good set of climbing sticks. I have a set of hang-on sticks and wanted to purchase these for longer-planned "temporary" use. They seem we'll made and rugged - just hung a new stand. My only complaint is that the anchor straps are too short. Part of the benefit to climbing sticks and a hang-on stand is the ability to climb thicker trees that are too thick for a climber stand. I had to purchase additional ratchet straps that made the loop around the tree. August 26, 2014
Rated 4 out of 5 by Good sticks Good product, I have several sets price and quality are good. August 12, 2014
Rated 2 out of 5 by Nice Sticks but really, doubling the price?!?! I have a 3 sets of these out and they do work well. I would purchase more for this season but certainly not at $109. These were on sale for $50 all last season! Really Dicks?!?! August 1, 2014
Rated 3 out of 5 by Great sticks and very safe but why the HUGE price increase? They are great sticks and I probably have about 8 sets out where I hunt right now. They are very sturdy and the dual steps make them much safer to climb up and down. Plus, with the 20' height you can easily get to the height you need. The one thing I am baffled by is that they doubled the price in the last 4 months! Really? I was about to buy 3 more sets and say the price is double what the regular price was just a few months ago! Not very happy to see. I've bought 15 or so stands and 8 sets of sticks from Dicks but seeing this price increase makes me pretty upset. July 29, 2014
Rated 4 out of 5 by Worth the $ Love using these!! This will be the third set I have bought. July 28, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Just what I was looking for I have always hunted from houses/blinds or used climbing stands. I am starting to try some lock on stands and I like the design of these ladders. Especially like the discounted price during the off season. Shipping was free and they delivered in 2 days. June 14, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Great Value Easy to use and very light! For 50 dollars a set Its cheaper than building a ladder or screw in steps. March 31, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Climbing Sticks I have used these climbing sticks in previous seasons. I bought another set for a new location I hunt. The Quality has increased with the way the foot pegs are bolted to the sticks. They have also changed the way the straps secure to the sticks. This removal of the metal S-hooks makes traveling to the stand site quieter. The D-rings that secure each section to another are of good quality. The only negative feedback I have is the sticks are more a gray than black color. This is not a concern for me as I camouflage the sticks with additional color to match my hunting surroundings. Rated 5 out of 5 by Safer and Easier on the Knees I have been bow hunting successfully since I was 12 years old. I am now 49 years old. I prefer ladder stands now for various reasons, mainly comfort and safety. However, when it comes to bow hunting from a hang-on platform stand, we have done away with screw-in steps in exchange for these sticks. I prefer this particular brand because the steps are not staggered, they are straight across from one another. This provides a constant 3 or 4 points of contact approach to climbing and descending. It is also easier on the knees. We can also easily hook our harness hook to the steps as we climb. They are easy to install and the 20' length provides plenty of distance to get ABOVE the platform to climb DOWN upon it, which is the SAFEST approach. I do however recommend using extra straps for safety and ALWAYS check straps prior to climbing and prior to any season start if they were weathered through the summer. February 25, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Best climbing sticks for your money These climbing sticks are not the lightest ones on the market, however they assemble is easly. The motorcycle straps are adiquit, I replaced them with inexpensive ratchet straps from Home Depot. This makes them rock solid under foot, and worth the added safety. I also added a coat of flat brown paint, helps them blend in better, prevents theft. With the purchase price of the sticks and the replacement ratchet straps the cost is still significantly less than competitors. January 17, 2014
