Good and Reliable Product
This was the first handheld GPS I have ever purchased. I have purchased Garmin GPS's for my vehicles and have always been pleased with the Garmin products. Based on this I was confident this Garmin product would also be a good investment and it is. I used my new handheld GPS during this past deer hunting season and it proved to be very easy to use and reliable as it always got me to my marked way points and back to my truck at the end of the day.

does what it says
I did alot of research before I purchased it and read alot of complaints about the manual not being explicit enough. After I got it I could see why it doesn't need to be it's pretty simple to operate it only took me a few minutes it figure the whole device out. Anyone with minimal tech skills can learn to operate it fairly quick. I use it primarily for geocaching and found it to be quite acurate. Remember your getting what you pay for it's an entry level device and it does what it should.

Great first GPS for kids or beginners
I bought this GPS for my 8 year old nephew for hunting with his dad and grandfather. It's a great GPS for kids to learn to use handheld GPS systems. It's rugged enough for him to use in the woods.

It gets the job done
I use this GPS unit for geocaching. I started geocaching in 2003 with a Magellan GPS and time after time the Magellan products failed in one way or another. I finally switched to Garmin and so far this sTrex 10 has been great. Although not an expensive unit, it does allow me to go paperless. I can bring up the cache description and the hint, if I need it. That's all I need!
