Rated 3 out of 5 by PaBowHunter DPS Cam
First , during day light and at close range photos are great. That's a plus. The bad is you have to go to the Promos web site to down load the corrective patch for the software to work , then still a lot of time at the key board to see your videos or photos. Bad , not IR so nothing at night and during the rut not any use at all. Plus , long battery life , Plus very good in bad weather especially in south west Pa. Plus cheap , so if your on a tight budget this will work but only during day light hours. Plus , day, date , moon phase time stamp, so you know when the full moon will be. Java 7 is the software this cam uses and has a major glitch , Primos states it's beyond their control so buyer beware.

Rated 4 out of 5 by Lindy Great product!
This camera is great! I don't hunt, in fact I'm a wildlife rehabilitation specialist , but use this camera to see what daytime wildlife frequents my property. The images are clear and reviewing them is quick and easy with the included software. It would also be useful for keeping an eye on areas where you suspect activity when you aren't home. It does have a small red light that flashes when actively recording, but its small and not noticeable. It doesn't work in the dark, but you can get other cameras for that. Don't forget an SD card and batteries and you'll be all set!

Rated 2 out of 5 by jigguide Good Idea but software not so good
Camera is good but the software is though to use and requires a internet connection. You cannot simply view easily.

Rated 3 out of 5 by grtsct Does what it should
Camera is good for what it is intended to be used for which is seeing deer at a decent distance away. Keep in mind that this is a low megapixel camera so anyrhing on camera over about fifty feet will be hard to make out any good details. The software is slow to load at times and will freeze occasionally on my pc. The software definately needs some improvement. Also be aware that you have to look at thousands of pictures to see one full day on cam.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Deadeye Excellent scouting tool!!!
I now have 5 of these cameras to assist me with scouting. They are simple to operate & provide adequate "footage" of hunting area during daylight hours. I use them to pattern daylight travel areas. I took a nice 8 pt. 2 weeks ago because I was able to pattern his daylight travel across a field & his entry point into the woods. At the distance observed, he would never have tripped the trigger on other cameras. With these cameras I have become insensitive to night time photos of Big bucks passing through at 1 AM. That information is often irrelevant because if he is passing through at 1 AM, he is probably not around during hunting hours. These cameras allow me to focus on deer that are available that I can pattern & hunt!

Rated 3 out of 5 by Mr. Right Good for what it's meant to do
I, personally, like this cam. Bought one last year and after deer season, put it up. Brought it out this year and apparently Java had some issues with the software and caused me a half hour of headaches. After uninstalling Java and reinstalling the Primos software, everything was fine.
This isn't a cam for night time pics, so I'm not sure what people are whining about; the cam has a light sensor to activate, so its probably not going to fire up at first light, (duh).

Only good for monitoring an area to know when deer are moving. Also good for monitoring access points to the property.
Doesn't activate early in the morning missing 20 mins of prime hunting time.
Picture quality is poor.
No method to put a lock on the camera

Rated 1 out of 5 by tc@ZZ Makes a good paper weight
I understand why is was "reduced". Dick's is selling a product that the majority of owners cannot use. It may take good pictures, but I'll never know. I've tried downloading the software on 3 separate computers and have yet found one that will work with this software. In viewing the Primos site, under the technical section, they admit there are problems and can't seem to get a handle on what it takes to fix it. They lay the blame on Java. Unfortunately, I didn't save my receipt and therefore am stuck with this paper weight. The only reason I gave it one star is that 0 was not an option,,,

Received the camera two weeks ago. Took camera to the lease and left five days. Brought chip home and will not load on ataglance soft ware. Called primos and have been waiting for one week no help. Do not even know if there are any pictures on the chip and gun season is only a week away. Reloaded newer version of ataglance and java and still will not load pictures? Primos said the the new cameras load with windows and almost all other photo apps. Why did I get a camera two weeks ago that has not been updated? Me, my son and two brothers have been using Primos equipment for 20 years and do not understand how something like this can happen. Service in the past has been excellent just do not know the reason for this mess. Cannot rate the camera no pictures!

Rated 1 out of 5 by rackridge not so good I rate it D-
I like the idea of this concept but this unit is not a good choice . I will be returning them soon .
1. the up to 200 yards viewing is misleading for anything past say 50 yards is hard to make out , yes it has a zoom but gets very distorted .
2. The software was maddening to install and the support was not so good .
Seemed they had one person doing 3 persons jobs .That was Primos staff .
3. Long waiting time to speak to a rep at Primos .
Always pleased with Dicks Sporting goods pricing and staff , just not this product .
