Rated 5 out of 5áby VALUE Compared to all the rest out there - this is a lot of value for money paid! Top shelf!! April 24, 2015
Rated 5 out of 5áby Very nice scope I had been buying the cheap scopes for my guns but decided to get something better. Compared to my old scopes this Nikon has a sharper image and better eye relief. It's so much better for shooting. It was easy to sight in and seems to hold it's adjustments. January 2, 2015
Rated 5 out of 5áby Great product for cost Gave this to my son-in-law as a gift and he is very happy with it. December 15, 2014
Rated 4 out of 5áby Great scope for the money Most of the features of the big dog scopes for a lot less money.Great for daytime hunting but probably not suitable for low light conditions.Better light transmission is what you get for two or three times the cost. December 4, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5áby Great Scope For The Price Bought the ProStaff 4-12x40 BDC and am very happy with its durability and ease of use. The optics are very clear and the BDC is easy to use. This is the 3rd Nikon ProStaff I have purchased and all have been very reliable. Adjustments are easy and repeatable, these scopes also hold their zeros well. It is also nice to be able to go to Nikon's web sight to figure points of impact for the BDC. Paid $179.99 for the 4-12 on sale and worth every penny, I would recommend this model or the 3-9's too. Rated 5 out of 5áby Great value. Nikon 4-12x40 is everything I expected. Clear, sharp image. Pulls in the light. The install was not what I expected. A young gentleman took my gun in the back room and after some time returned to say I need taller mounting rings. He said he some available for $9.99 and would put them on. After some time he returned to tell me the $9.99 taller rings were sold out and all he had were $39.99 rings at the moment. He said they would be getting the other mounts in in the near future. I decided to take the gun and scope and return in a few days to finish the mounting and bore sighting. My gun was returned to me with the scope mounted. The scope was so tight against the barrel that the scope caps would not fit on and I could not close the blot. I took the gun and scope the way they were handed to me. When I got home, I looked through the scope only to find that it had been mounted 90 degrees off with the BDC elavation marking going horizonal rather then vertical. I called the store the following Tuesday and spoke to a young lady who advised me that Dicks does not carry the inexpensive mount in the taller size. She offered me the $39.99 mounts. I then called the Latham, NY store and spoke with Anthony who advised me to bring the gun to him and he would look at it and see if he could fix my concerns. I took the gun in and Anthony apologized for the problems and he removed the scope and reinstalled it with a set of $19.99 rings and bore sighted it in less than 30 minutes. I left the store a happy customer. November 19, 2014
