great quality knife I have had this knife for half a year now and have almost nothing bad to say about it. It's extremely durable, holds a nice edge, and does not dull easily. however the only downsides i can see with it is that it's quite heavy for a pocketknife. Also, i noticed its a little harder to open than other folders but all in all its an amazing knife April 23, 2013
This is worth it! I am new to knife collecting but this is my new favorite. If you have a second thought about buying this listen, buy this its worth the money. its sturdy, lightweight, sharp and just overall handy. you wont regret this purchase!!! September 13, 2012
Good Knife I was looking for a folder to carry every day, most of my folders are either cheapies I got for free or expensive collector's knives I don't want to beat up (my EDC knives take a beating). I have a large number of fixed blade knives that are all made in the U.S. a couple of them are Gerber knives (LMF II and Prodidgy) and overall, I like their knives. I was really looking for a made in the U.S. folder as well but I recently purchased a shotgun and a bunch of ammo at Dick's and had a rewards certificate to use there. I read alot about the DMF and decided to give it a try despite being made offshore. I have to say it's a good knife, edge was pretty sharp out of the box and it's held the edge pretty well thus far. The lock is solid, the folding action is pretty smooth and can be deployed easily by applying a small amount of pressure on the thumb stud and giving it a flick of the wrist. The clip was tight at first but a bit of prying opened it so that it can be slid onto the edge of my pocket easily but not so loose that it's falling out. It now works well on jeans, cargo pants/shorts and the dress pants I wear to work. The G10 handle is fits the hand really well and has good texture for grip when wet or dry. My only complaint thus far is that it wasn't made in the U.S.A. and I'm not real sure exactly what type of stainless the blade is made of, but I have better fixed blade knives for heavy work, this one just gets used for smaller tasks when I'm out at work or don't have access to my other knives. Best knife ive ever owned I've owned some pretty expensive knives and some really cool looking ones. I usually don't skimp out on knives because i always have one on me and i use them for random everyday things... There was one Gerber in particular that my brother got while in the Air Force. Its only available for police and military. I've always looked to try and find it but even when i did i needed credentials because they were for M&P only like i said. I found this at dicks and got it right away because this is the exact same M&P only knife minus the auto switch blade button. THATS IT!! same exact knife. Supper strong and a great Tac knife all around, nice weight and I wouldn't hesitate to buy plus Gerber has a great warranty as long as its not broken from abuse. don't wait! Get it! February 15, 2012
