Mountain Hardwear Men's Dome Perignon Hat
Wind Resistant... NOT Windproof
This hat has pluses and minuses. It is NOT windproof but does provide pretty good protection. It does cover the ears and does not ride up easily like most hats with liners. It is expensive for the a hat and with shipping, it is in the mid forties. Would be a good value at $30 but a fair value at the higher price. Glad I purchased but would not purchase again as I think there are windproof hats to be had. A daily park runner.

I had some Christmas giftcards. That's the only reason I spent 36 dollars on a hat. I buzz my hair completely off, and I need a great winter hat. I was completely surprised at how warm this hat is. It is doubly layered around the ears, which I need because I have big ears. I stay completely warm with this hat. It looks a little weird, because it's seamed down the middle, and gives me kind of a pointy head, but on days with windchill of zero, who cares? I just wanna be warm. And actually, the ear covers are so insulated that when I come inside from work with it on, and my wife says something to me, I can't even hear her till I take it off. Unfortunately, mine must've somehow fallen out of my pocket or car or something. So I am buying another identical one again today That's really the test - if you ever lost it, would you buy another one? I say yes. I might even buy 2 in case they're ever discontinued. This hat is fantastic for super cold weather.
