Well Worth the Money
I recently had total knee replacement and needed to find a machine to work on my knee extension and flexibility. After searching online I found the LIVESTRONG LS 5.0R Recumbent Bike and placed my order. As we opened the box we found a detailed assembly manual that had step by step, detailed instructions and assembly drawings. All the hardware was blister packaged and labeled to match the steps in the assembly manual. An allen wrench and end wrench was supplied to fit the hardware. It took two of us an hour to assemble the unit and have it set up for use.
I found the unit to be very comfortable and the seat fore / aft adjustments make it easy to use for any member of the family. As I gained flexibility in my knee, it was easy to slide the seat forward to increase the angle of flex. The adjustable resistance levels make each workout a challenge. The pre-programmed exercise routines are great for cardio and fitness and offer a challenge for those looking for more than just a stationary bike. The palm grip heart-rate monitors work well and offer the user the option to slide the palms off the monitors, switching the display into different modes. The low step-through design made it easy to get on and off the machine as soon as I was able to start my rehab routine.

Big Disappointment
I bought this bike two weeks ago and had issues. First the machine was programmed in Demo mode so it would not shut off without unplugging it. This was an easy fix over the phone. but after two days the speed reading went crazy. you would barely pedel and it would say you were going 15 miles per hour and then when you did get pedaling it would say you were going 25 - 30 MPH. Well I ride my regular bike all the time and I know that is impossible to do. I called the company back and the shipped a speed sensor out and said a technician was going to call within 48 hours. Well no technician called so I called back the said someone will call you by noon tomorrow to schedule the repair. Well no call so called back they said we can try and find a different techincian. I am at two weeks so I am bringing this bike back and getting a new one. Hopefully with better luck. At least we could use it for the work out and the work outs were great. Just would love to know the speed and distance as well for the price we paid for it.

Bought This to Replace My Nordic Trak
I had a Nordic Trak recumbent for five years. The motor went recently providing no resistance. I'm hoping this lasts longer. The seat back is much better quality than any other recumbent I've ever used. You'll notice the difference right away. I think the display could be a little more modern though, because it doesnt show the terrain like some other bikes. Also, with this model the console is a bit lower than the others which is good because you can still see over it to watch TV. This is a great bike and easy to assemble.

Nice Bike
I am very happy with this stationary bike. I have used many bikes at various fitness centers and this easily compares to any and all that I have ridden.

I would buy this product AGAIN.
Got this at dick's sporting goods today 112511 after a long time of looking and reviewing on line. We were going to buy the Schwin 240 or 250 but when we saw the LS 5.0R we were sold, just looked well built. Thanks LIVESTRONG
