Worked in Alaska, it'll work for you I recently bought this jacket for a trip to Alaska. Along with proper base and middle layers, this jacket kept me warm and snug the whole trip - even to the Arctic circle. On another day, we spent a full afternoon outside in the cold, and it kept me plenty warm with no complaints. And there were plenty of days with below zero temperatures, and I had zero complaints as far as the jacket was concerned. It wasn't too bulky, either, and let me move around just fine. The jacket itself is very light and had me doubting it would be up for the job when I got it in the mail. But it is very well made and it did the trick! As an additional bonus, since the jacket is so light, it can be easily folded and rolled up into a suitcase or small bag and makes it ideal for travel to cold places (after all, if you live in Texas like I do, you don't need the jacket until you get to the final destination.) I kept the jacket in my carry-on luggage so that I could easily take it out and wear it once we got to Alaska - again, with proper layers! One of the best jackets ever! April 13, 2013
