I have 20% hearing loss. I actually hear better with these off than I do with them on and the volume turned up. I went bear hunting and was disappointed. There was a loud snort about 40 yards off in heavy brush that I didn't hear. I happened to take the earphones off and then I could hear it. It spooked me to be honest.

These are great! Fit easily in my range bag and do a great job.... my wife wears them too because they don't make her butt look big....
I own about five different kinds of electronic ear protection and these are my favorites even though they are not the most expensive.

Good product for a fair price. The earmuffs are confortable to wear and provided good protection from gunshot noise.

Rated 3 out of 5 by arneezy all good in the hood so far
they work. i bought them for my pops so i personally havent tried it at the range but my dad has and he said they work. i did test them out at home after purchasing. i tested it out buy listening to the television on regular volume. the sound from the earmuffs was clear and crisp. the volume dial worked accordingly also. there is a plug for an iphone so you can listen to music. Some things i didnt like about the muffs is that they dont fold up as compact as my howard leight sport impacts so they are bulky. the wires to the ear muffs look like it will be the first to go bad or cause a break in the wire due to stress of folding and unfolding. the part where the plastic connects to the metal that holds the actual ear cup looks fragile also. just as long as u dont sit on them or smash them in your gun bag they will be ok. i would buy again for the price.

purchased at Dicks for $29.99. Will be returning it asap. Used it once. Ears ringing, headache. I just hope there isn't permanent damage to my hearing.

Rated 4 out of 5 by do Reasonably Priced, work well
I've only had these out to the range a couple of times, but am please with their performance so far. Easier to pack than the previous electronic headphones that I had. Take up less space in the range bag, lower profile making them a better fit for shooting riflles.

Rated 5 out of 5 by BILLYFT40 This product works great!!
Product works as discribed, you can have a normal conservation with them on while someone is firing a gun around you . It muffles the gun blast while letting the conservation be amplified.

Rated 5 out of 5 by rustafor no more loud noise
I purched these for use on the shooting range and they work very well
But I've also found that they have many more uses
I use them when mowing leaf blowing or any other loud activtys
my chainsaw is much less bothersome when it gets reved up
for this little gem is well worth the price I highly recommend the caldwell E-max headphones

Rated 5 out of 5 by ShadowSabre Excellent Hearing Protection!
At the gun range I slipped the Caldwell E-Max Low-Profile Electronic Headphones on... set the volume... and I totally forgot I had them on! I could have a conversation with others while loud sounds of rifles and handguns being fired were muffled. After about 3 hours on the range... I jumped into my truck and noticed I still had them on. They are very comfortable.
