Customer Reviews:

Rated 4.3 out of 5 by 4 reviewers.
Rated 3 out of 5 by Very good overall This rod is great and has nice action. I'm glad I got the extra fast because St Croix's version of extra fast is more like fast for other manufacturers. Overall the rod is solid but can be a little uncomfortable at times. There is no foam cover at the top of the rod seat so the threads of the rod seat rub against your middle finger. It honestly gave me a blister. Very light weight and the handle is very grippy compared to foam or cork. September 21, 2014
Rated 4 out of 5 by Great Rod for Spinnerbaits This in my primary spinnerbait rod paired with a Revo STX. I love this combo for this technique. It balances well and is light weight and can cast it all day without fatigue. It has enough sensitivity for spinnerbaits. It loads and cast great and has backbone for solid hook sets without ripping the hook. For plastics and Jigs I prefer a rod with more sensitivity. There are more sensitive rods in this price point but the Rage will hold it's own in casting and durability. The handle is not for everyone especially for some old schoolers! Love it for the technique I use it for but once again, I choose other rods for senkos, plastics, and jigs. May 15, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Awesome Fishing Rod This rod is both beautiful and functional. Bought the 7'4" Heavy/fast for a slop-n-frog rod. Using 50 lb. braid with a Quantum Tour Edition reel and it casts awesome. The neoprene handle is super comfortable. I'll be buying one for cranking next. August 15, 2012
Rated 5 out of 5 by Hands down the best rod I've ever owned I bought this rod because I had been wanting a St. Criox rod for a while and the rage seemed like a very versitile choice. The action, length, and features lend itself to many styles of fishing. I paired it up to a quantum smoke reel and I must say this is the best rod I have ever picked up. I mostly use it with 8-10 lb power pro & a 10-12 lb flouro leader. This rod is PERFECT for senkos & spinnerbaits. Thanks to the micro guides I can outcast most people by a good 30-40 feet with a spinner, and its perfect for flipping a senko. I can feel everything my bait comes in contact with and I am convinced it has increased my hook up rate by at least 20%. I also love the handle design, it feels so natural I can fish for 8 hours without feeling fatigued. Last week I landed a 6 pound largemouth and thanks to my new rage rod. October 25, 2011
