Rated 5 out of 5 by jdr Rawlings continues to make the best baseball mitt after 35 years
I bought my first Rawlings mitt 35 years ago when I went to college on a baseball scholarship to play shortstop. I've used it until now. Because I didn't oil it enough, the inside leather started to crack.
Since I'm still coaching little league baseball, I needed another mitt. After looking at all the choices on the market, Rawlings is still the BEST! It's nice to see a company not sacrifice quality like most American companies do as time goes on. I'm thrilled to get a new mitt that I can pass on to a grandson some day. Thanks to EJ---the store manager---for all his assistance and expertise as I considered my options.

the first time i played catch with this glove i was impressed. it was already broken in. after the months came by the glove started getting looser and flabby.the fingers were starting to bend back when i caught the ball it was very loose. i am a 15 year old in california that plays travel ball and i do not recommend this glove to higher level baseball. This glove would be great for little league or wreck play and i highly recommend it for the younger ballers 12 under.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Mom of 3 Boys Great Product
My son is very happy with this mitt! After buying it (about 2 weeks later) we received a coupon for a free mitt steaming. We brought it back to the store for this and we're so glad we did. Remarkably the steaming broke the mitt in (a process that likely would have take my son weeks) and it's fantastic.

Rated 4 out of 5 by Boomer Still Reliable 3 years later
I got this glove when I started playing mod B baseball and this past JV season i was still using it.
Easily broken in
Hides Ball for pitchers
Inexpensive compared to most other gloves
Started to get flimsy on me in year 2
I made the mistake of getting this glove as a third basemen (only 11.25 in)
The laces tend to become untied during game play
Overall I would recommend this glove to those playing at a lower level (Mod B or Freshman), but those playing JV or Varsity find a different glove.

I recently purchased this glove, and was surprised with how quickly it broke in. For a great price, I would recommend this glove to players at any level.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Gmother1 Excellent quality comes with the higher than norm cost.
Gson was playing District 5 baseball at the time when his twelfth birthday arrived. He decided he wanted a new glove for his birthday and did "research" online before we went to Dick's at the Mall. He is very careful to always lay it down on its fingers/pocket as he was instructed to do; never on its side or back. It was easily broken in and he was immediately playing games with it. AND he calls it his "Baby".

Rated 5 out of 5 by Dylan S Great glove, Great Value.
I was in need of a new glove and many of my teammates were using the Rawlings Gold Glove Elite glove. This is a higher quality glove that provides a solid feel and response. Without having to spend hundreds of dollars to upgrade my glove, this was a great choice.
