Rated 4 out of 5 by Danwise1 Good shoe, but need half sizes above 12
Shoe breaks in RWSL nice, but had to settle for a half size too big. Yes this is not the only shoe made for baseball, but it has the conversion ability that works great on all surfaces, wet or dry.

My 14 son got these cleats a year ago for his baseball season. He really liked the look of the shoe and the shoe was great for a couple months until the metal cleats started breaking off. They can not be replaced because the broke down low.

Shoes come with replaceable cleats that are not screwed in tight from the factory. Lost three cleats on 1st day of use.

These cleats are the answer to playing in two leagues with different rules. While playing in a pony tournament last summer we were told that it is ok to wear metal cleats. So I looked on Dick's website ordered a pair and the rest is history. I have only changed them out once this season but it was very easy. Son loves them.

I play senior softball three days a week. We are not allowed to use steel spikes in our league. It is a good shoe for the money. The replacement cleats are an excellent idea. They wear down quickly, and you don't have to buy new shoes. I end up replacing my cleats once a month during the season. This keeps my traction level high. Do not walk on concrete or pavement while wearing the shoes. This will wear the cleats twice as fast. Put your shoes on in the dugout, and remove them immediately after the game. Nike shoes do run a full size small. I wear a 10.5 street shoe. Any Nike shoe I purchase must be an 11.5 to fit properly.

Rated 4 out of 5 by chansen decent cleats
i really like how these cleats fit and are very comfortable. i bought them to play softball in so i have had to use the plastic cleats. They have been good cleats with the only exception being i have worn them in two tournaments and some league play and they have actually ground down to half of their original size in a matter of 8 or so game simply from digging into the box when i hit or from just using them as i have run the bases and in the outfield during normal play. Overall though they have been good cleats.

Rated 5 out of 5 by MTemple Great Cleat for Pitchers
This cleat is ideal for pitchers. If your son does not pitch, it may not make much sense because you can likely just buy one pair of either plastic or metal cleats and be fine. But in tournament baseball, you will see many dirt fields where you want to wear metal cleats, but the mound is removable and metal cleats are not allowed. Thus, you either need to buy metal AND plastic cleats every time your son grows out of them, or you can get these and simply change the cleats according to whether your son is pitching in a particular game. In addition, my son has worn down the plastic cleats long before he wore out the shoes, on every pair he has ever owned. With these, you simply buy some penguin replacement cleats for about $10 rather than a new pair of shoes for $60.

Rated 4 out of 5 by Sonny Decent Cleat
It is a decent cleat for the price. I chose it because of the interchangeable spikes. I ended up not having to switch them out and the metal spikes have been serving me well. My biggest complaint is the changeable swoosh. The color patches do not stay in place making the shoe look a little trashy. Everything else is standard. Nothing great, nothing bad. I'd recommend if you need a changeable cleat simply because it was the only one Dick's carried.

These cleats are for my 12yr old. If he has to transition between metal and molded for his pitching, these are excellent. The replacable spikes are nice when he wears them down, we just replace the worn ones with new and traction is good again.Uppers seem to wear well. As with all baseball cleats the spikes wearout before the shoe is out grown. My son likes the Nike brand, I think he believes it makes him cool. I like them cause they last longer in this configuration. Conversion cleats are getting harder to find, Companys do not sell as many, profits are lower.
