Stop looking and buy these
I've had these bad boys for over a year now and they are still my primary running shoe. I do a lot of Crossfit in them and distance running and the durability is incredible. I've done a lot of research on other minimalist shoes such as New Balance and the INOV-8s and I'm glad I stuck with Merrell. Super light weight and extremely comfortable. Great arch support and they will literally fit you like a glove when they are broken in. Just go ahead and buy these you wont be upset

First barefoot shoe purchase
I've used these shoes for a month or so and have already logged quite a few miles. They've been a great value so far and they don't show any signs of wear and tear yet. They're surprisingly grippy for a 'road' shoe.

GREAT
I love these shoes...light weight...compfortable...good looking. I'm going hiking in May to the Grand Canyon and riding the Colorado River. I think they will be the perfect camping equipment to have. I've only had them for about 3 weeks so the verdic is still out as to durability and lasting. I'll let you know.

The Transition to Minimalist Running
After conducting some research on minimalist running, I returned to the US looking for a suitable pair of shoes to support this style of running. I had been working through the transition process before arriving in the US and looked forward to finding a lightweight, minimal shoe that would provide the necessary protection for running on less than ideal conditions in Africa.
I was particularly pleased with the minimal design of the Merrill running shoe, particularly with its light but durable sole designs. So far the shoe has been comfortable and enhancing my efforts to solidify the transition. I was particularly encouraged to learn about its durability. I'm hoping to get a good couple of years out of the shoe despite my almost daily 2.5 mile run.
I appreciated the support I received as well as the opportunity to avail of an additional discount through signing up for the Dick's Sporting Goods reward program.

Excellent fit, good midsole support
I run mainly on treadmill, and I bought them because they have excellent arch support which I need because my foot lands midsole. Great shoe I would recommend them to anyone.
